Maybe it's just bad luck but I consistently seem to have bad luck with the Abena abri-form x-plus. I've tried it off and on over the years and every time it seems to have the pinhole problem. I wear molicare super plus's which work GREAT, but they are not the most absorbent, and I want a diaper that lasts longer when I am in public, since I despise changing in a public restroom. I could easily fix this issue with plastic pants, but wearing a diaper, plus plastic pant, plus onsie, is too much and makes me feel like my gait is different, not to meantion plastic pants are uncomfortable. Is this a normal or recurring problem with Abena? Or bad luck on my part? |

Hi, Ski. You're not the only one who had a problem with those, and I think I got some from the same batch. Did you buy from XP Medical, by any chance? Thankfully, the owner, Gary, is always great about these things and sent me a replacement bag of the same diapers, but the Air Plus versions. Incredibly, they did the same thing, though to a lesser degree. At least they were usable with plastic pants. And here's the odd thing: I still have those L4 diapers. I just can't bear to throw away Abena diapers. I will--I mean they're all but useless--but it pains me to do it. -RMS |

Hi titan415, welcome to the forum. I think there have been a few batches of Abena's that have had pinhole issues, at least it is not a re-occurring thing they have happen, so it seems. I see you signed off with RMS, I think you were also on the KC Depends forum as well, which now is a complete waste of time with the "new" version they have, I gave up on it! A few from there have signed on here so far! Either way, welcome aboard! ![]() |

Hi, Puffy. Yep, it's me, RMS. Wetters (who I believe has now also joined here), told me you were a forum mod, and I looked around and found you here. And you're also right that the Depend forum is completely messed up. I've never seen any large company destroy a community they'd built so quickly or effectively. I actually think I may have been a member here some years back, but don't remember my login. So, here's to new beginnings. ![]() -RMS |

Either way, good you are here RMS, we all need a place that can relate to our issues, and this is a good one, not much shenanigans put up with here, and shut off once it is noticed. I am sure more will follow, word spreads fast! I actually liked it there too, and it is, as you so correctly put it, destroyed from what it was... kinda sad, but done is done! Lots of good topics here, and many new people with lots of questions! ![]() |

Oh RMS, I hurt. You said you thought it was Wetters that told you about Puffy. All kidding aside, welcome aboard. I replied to your post on the KC forums to see if you needed another hint on where we moved too but looks like you figured it out. Like you and Puffy, the old forum is a wreck and way to hard to navigate through. Here is to new beginnings. As for the pinhole topic, thanks for pointing it out. I was just about to order some L4s to use at night while at work but I think I will wait a bit longer for those to come out of circulation. |

Sorry, Rope, but I do believe it was Wetters who, via offline message, told me about this forum. Again, I've been here before, but not in a long time. But seeing you, Puffy, and Wetters here is wonderful. These issues we all deal with are so personal that being able to talk openly with people you know and trust makes all the difference. -RMS |

I've had that problem with one case. I think it might happen when the machines get serviced, or miscalibrated. It seems to me that the knurling on the wheels that drive the backing must be either to sharp, or applying too much tension. |
