Looking for and easy pain free way for hair removal. It is probably my imagination kicking into high gear, but some days I think I can smell what I have leaked during the day. And I really don't need anyone else needlessly knowing about my issue in this way. I have read (and you can believe everything you read on the web) that shaving or otherwise removing the hair in that area will help to reduce the smell... I have shaved to test this out for myself and was looking for an easier way to keep that area hair free... Scott |

Pubic hair provides an increased surface on which odour-causing bacteria can grow. When cleaning yourself with a baby wipe during a diaper change, it's also hard to clean each hair totally on each side of the hair. So drastically reducing the amount of pubic hair does help with odour control. I use an electric body hair trimmer with a rechargeable battery. It doesn't shave the pubic area as closely as you shave your face. But it does a good job with no danger of producing razor nicks in tender places. |

It took me a little while to subscribe to this notion but once I started shaving I have not gone back. I just use a regular razor and some soap in the shower every other day or so. It takes your skin a bit to get used to it and when it grows in your very itchy but after a month or so I found that all goes away. The clean up during changes is much easier without hair getting in the way. I have found that odor control is much better without hair. |

Welcome Grendale, I noticed that was your first post to the forum! Seems many have gone the route of removing hair to make things easier and less chance of odor issues, myself included. Didn't take long to realize I won't be going back any time soon! Has anyone ever tried the hair removal cream down there yet? I can see it working for the upper regions, but would doubt you would want to try it on the "Southern Hemisphere"! lol Puffy |

Your answer is at Dollar General. It's in the grooming products. It's called Soft Sheen Carson Magic Shaving Powder.Black gentlemen use it instead of shaving to prevent ingrown hairs. Just make up a soupy paste and apply it to what hair you want removed, keep it moist and wait for 5 minutes. Then shower and you will be hair free! |

Personally, as I am numb below the waist I just shave and am not bothered by rashes etc. |

I had at one point tried the Nair brand hair removal cream. It was the "bikini area" cream and the results were rather painful. Had I looked at the directions a little better I would have noticed it said not to use on genital areas (or something to that effect). I would be careful when using hair removal creams in super sensitive areas. |
