If this is an old question, I apologize. I'm 66 yrs. old, and sometimes forget who I have asked and what I have asked. I am looking for a absorbent reusable brief, full coverage from waistband to waistband, to save on the cost of disposables. I, at one time, purchased a brief from Loving Comfort, but it seems as though they are no longer in business. I did find a training pant / brief from a company called baby-pants. com that looks like something that I could use. However, I believe they cater to the adbl community which I am not. There briefs have pretty infantile/juvenile prints on them. Since I'm having a difficult time finding anything else, I'm about to give them a try. I figure if I only wear them at home, who cares. My wife is supportive. My question is, has anyone else had any experiences with this company? Are they reputable, product quality, etc. etc.? Thanks in advance for any advice and suggestions.

dgp66,

Loving Comfort is not out of business, but they are difficult to reach. I was looking for the same type of products for a friend a few weeks ago, so I have provided the following for your review. Just "click" on the links below;

http://www.gabbys.net/adult-pullon-clot ... b5336462ff

http://www.fetware.com/pull-washable-di ... -p-33.html

http://www.amazon.com/Super-Undies-Diap ... 3MCJOZPKCS

Hope this helps.

Hi there, dgp66,

I am in your league, a little older, and I have bouts of CRS.........<grin>

Anyway, No! you do not need to buy juvenile print absorbent briefs. You mention Loving Comfort and johnstone addressed that. I had a pair of their diaper pants and they were, as you described, excellent with terry layers from waist to waist and from side seam to side seam....a really good "pull on diaper pant".

So called "training pants" seem mostly to feature an absorbent strip down the center and often it is a fiber sponge material that gives softness and bulk but not that much absorbency.

I have no affiliation with Babykins, but I endorse their stuff because I happen to like it.

So along with johnstone's recommendations, also look at Kins #20700 pull on cotton brief, available in plain white.

I also would like to point out the value of a Velcro on diaper, Kins #10500, in that you can get good cloth protection, a custom fit, and ease of putting on and changing.....every bit as easy as a disposable diaper in my opinion.

As to your question about the company, baby-pants, I have dealt with them and I had a good experience, good quality and excellent customer service. I am trying the latest in "plastic pants" made from PEVA, not PVC as most plastic pants are.

I've tried the pull-ons and some of the velcro pants in the past. My issue with them is that they are mostly all made of flannel. Flannel does not absorb as well or as much or wear as well as other materials like birds-eye or twill. Perhaps the terry is ok....haven't tried that. Good luck finding something that works for you.

I have several of the Gabby's pull-ons, and at least with those (I have not tried others.), I tend to agree with Steve. The flannel is very heavy, yet in my experience, it wasn't enough for a full, relatively small female adult bladder capacity (300 cc or so) and wearing two, even at night, was uncomfortable and hot, and they took a long time to dry when washed. I also wanted to save money, but I have mostly gone back to disposable pull ups and liners for more moderate days. At some point, I may try other manufacturers, so I also appreciate the comments here.

------

Agree that flannel liners look like they should be MORE absorbent, but they just are NOT. Even a large terry towel (beach towel) will do better.

I, too, tend to stay with disposables and maybe too much protection at times. It's just that when those occasional "floods" happen, it's totally best to
be prepared than to be sorry with an embarrassing leak. My variable incontinence, from the smaller accidents on up, can be hard to deal with and difficult
to plan for; it is a true game of wits with a devious bladder control system.

John
