Hello all, I recently had to purchase new diaper pins only to find that they pop open. Does anybody know of a quality diaper pin?

I don't use a pin-on much anymore, but I know Kins has pins, but not locking http://www.babykins.com/store/adult-clo ... aper-pins/ I am sure the other sites that sell adult product will have pins as well (found them) http://www.adultclothdiaper.com/PRODUCTS_2/DIAPER-PINS/ & http://www.angelfluff.com/nfpins.htm , just hard to find ones that stay closed! Puffy

Hey,
I tried cloth diapers for a while and used pins from Kins. I believe they have blue, pink, and standard steel pins. I bought the regular adult pins. My hands shake and I couldn't put them on myself so my wife had to do it which was embarassing for me. She didn't mind but I did. So I went back to disposables because I could do them myself. But as far as the pins went, they didn't pop open. They stayed shut all night. They weren't that expensive either. I was always worried they'd pop open at night and stab me. But it never happened. So I recommend them.

Cheers,

Don

You can buy pins online, but another very good place to buy high quality pin is at a fabric store. It's been a while, but I think I bought the pins I have now at a store called Jo Ann. I'm sure if you find a few good fabric stores in your area you can see what your buying before you make the purchase.

Hope this helps.

You're right johnstone. JoAnn's is a nation wide craft store. They are all over the country. Look them up Glenn. Odds are, they have one close by. I'd bet they'd even sell the fabric to make your own cloth diapers.

Don,

I get sever nerve pain in my hands occassionally and my wife has to diaper me. I wear cloth diapers 24/7. No need to be embarrased. You'd do the same for her if necessary. It's part of being a team.

I wear cloth diapers 24/7. I have used regular baby diaper pins all of my life. When I discouvered the new adult sized pins, I started suing them with night diapers as they are pretty thick and get a lot of pressure. During the daytime, I use the regular baby style diaper pins. Part of the troubel you are having may have to do with how you are pinning them. I use 2 pins on each side of the diaper. On the right side of the diaper, I pin from the right to the left. Never top to bottom or vice versa. I do the same with the lower pins. I rarely have a pot\p and I am pretty active.

Hope this will be of some help.

Terry
