Hello everyone, I am new to this sight. I am in my late 30s and have become completley incont. Been to many drs with no answer. I was diagnosed with PTSD from war. Mabey phsycological? I am learning to deal with and manage with diapers. They do give me a comfort and security and feel the continued use of them mabey makes it worse but have come to accept this. Anyway once again hello from MD and hope all weathered the hurricane okay.

Welcome to our Board, Ironhorse! Hopefully you will find ideas, tips and suggestions for managing your incontinence as you continue to search for the "why" as incon is caused by something going on or gone wrong in our body. And it certainly could be psychological, related to the PTSD, but, that may be fixable. Worth looking into! Best of luck to you!

It sure does, for the most part I ceartinly don't let it drag me down. I don't think its going anywhere anytime soon so I just embrace it and roll on. Seems like a great bunch of people here.

ironhorse, Dealing with incon and diapers is an issue all by itself. Disposable or cloth this level or that of absorbancy, what to wear here or there it is all a bit maddening. You adjust somehow or go crazzy. But as far as the PTSD goes, make damnsure you are dealing with that, i aslo deal with it (Vietnam) diapers will not kill you - PTSD could. Good luck and welcome home - and yes i know that you never fully come home. Papa

Welcome to the group. I am in VA and we survived the hurricane well also. Incontinence can be considered minor compared to many illnesses. Diapers are not bad once you get past the embarrasment And they help keep us dry.
