Sandy,
I would say it's a good bet to cancel now if you never received an e-mail confirmation. Please look at my return post to you under "How do you deal with your incontinence" I have a suggestion for you. .............Paul

I just got another case of diapers with weak tapes :x This time it's Tranquility ATN's The bottom ones keep coming lose in my pants. but the top ones stay? If I wear a pair of brief size panties over them they stay on. I've had this before with these. My thinking is that because these tapes are the type that have the tap that sticks off the end of the tape for easy removing. It maybe rubs on the inside of my jeans and works itself loose. The top ones stay most of the time. Maybe because the top of my pants are tighter around my waist. As with most of you I'm sure your pants are like mine they fit loose around your hip area. Which has always been a little bit of a trick for me as I have a rather hourglass body which my hips stand out as compared to my waist. I have to say that overalls work well on me to hide the bulk of a brief but I really prefer regular pants over overalls. My husband always calls me Jed as in farmer Jed when I wear overalls  The reason I don't like the overalls that much is I don't like the way they fit up top. Both the straps and the bib in front on my chest if that makes any sense. Just call me blond. But with that said I do still have a few pairs of overalls mostly the Oshkosh-b-gosh ones as I believe there called. My young friend wears them from time to time in the winter. I told her a while back that she will have a new appreciation for them when she wears them over a brief. Well anyway my name is being called. .......................................Sandy

You know Sandy,
I got my disposable diaper supplier to send me a pack of sample disposables. A lot of these diapers have change since I last tried them. I noticed The Molicare has double tapes to use if your taking the tape off to re-adjust or I guess checking yourself. Some of those diapers did have weak tapes. So far I'm leaning to change to the Tranquility Slimeline. Even though it is plastic backed, it made no noice under my pants. Tomorrow, I'll be trying the Tranqulity ATN. It looks a lot thicker, but the price is higher too!
I use to wear Bib overalls when I was younger. Wow! I could wear the thickest cloth diaper and no one would ever know! But I'm older now, and disposables that are discreet during the day with slacks are a must. You have the worst time with those tapes! A female on the other forum that Joe mentioned said she uses a diaper pin through the tape to hold hers in place. That might be worth a try. Hang in there Giirl!! ...........Paul

Hi Paul
I think you will like the ATN's allot better then the slimline. I wear lots of the ATN's in fact I have one on right now  Anyway I've had the Slimline ones in the past but find for at least me anyway a booster pad is a must with the Slimline. But with the ATN it depends on what the activity is that your going to be doing while wearing them. At night I generally add a Full length contour boost pad from Tranquility to their ATN diaper which makes a big difference in both capacity and dryness. I find that even when my brief is soaked I feel much drier with that contoured booster pad then I do with out it. During the day I sometimes add the booster that I use at night if I know I'm going to be away for awhile and sometimes I just use the Maxi pad size booster. But just staying at home during the day I don't generally use a booster. You will find the Tranquility will bulk up once it gets wet but it's not near as bad as the Molicare supers or super plus Then again those are thick when they are dry. Anyway you made a comment about the tapes. My advice would be Whether your using the molicares or the tranquility ones if it has that double tape keep a roll of tape handy. Case in point just while sitting here typing this one of the bottom tapes let go :x I removed the blue one and re taped with the white one :? (I'll be taping the tapes before I go to bed here if that makes any sense  ) I guess my theory has a problem with the pants rubbing the tape. I DON"T HAVE ANY PANTS ON!! and it still happen  :? That Velcro maybe a real treat compared to the tapes :D .........................Sandy

Sandy,
I have noticed you mention the Tramquility ATN diaper many times, and I believe your young friend uses them too. I'm wearing that diaper today for it's test. I can tell it's much thicker than the slimline Tranquility. It fits very well and is comfortable. The plastic is making a little more noice than I like. I may have it a little too loose. My wife has radar ears for the crinkle sound of my diaper. You really can't hear it much at my office, but at home where you don't have all the office sounds, it's noticable.
So far I like the Tranquility a lot. My source where I would buy these on an on-going basis(HDIS), has them for about $1.03 each. The slimlines only cost about 76cents.
Where do you get your supply and how much do you pay? I really like the convenience of my automatic order from HDIS. Do you go on e-bay every tiime you need some? Since I don't use these at night, I'm in cloth diapers then, I'm thinking the slimlines would work OK since I usually only change 2 to 3 times a day.
Anyways, your advise would be most helpful. Thanks again Sandy! (oh by the way, are you sure your not getting powder or lotion on your diaper before you go to bed that might be causing your tape to come un-done?)
.............Paul

Yes at first they do make a little noise but in my opinion it's not bad and most of the time they settle down once you have had them on for an hour or so. You may try wearing some brief size underwear over them this will also help hold them in place. Your thought about powder or lotion and tapes did cross my mind. But I'm always VERY careful about that. As you may remember from my other posts I'm a big user of J&J cornstarch medicated baby powder. But the other day I had to change in the van and didn't use any powder and still had a tape come lose  I may have run into a bad batch :? As far as price I've been paying around $60.00 a case including shipping for the last few cases I've bought. Please keep in mind that Tranquility often sells 96-100 in a case over most others that have 72 in a case. I wear the Mediums most of the time but I can wear the large They're big on me but if I fold the top down inside the brief I can make them work. The top tapes come pretty close together. But for around home or at night the large size is fine. If you can get into the small size you can get those Cheap. My young friend can just get into the small size. Shes kind of petite in size she has that problem were many of the mediums are almost to big but the small size is almost to small. Yes I get almost all my supplies from EBay. I just looked and didn't see any large or mediums atns. They have some medium Slimline ones selling in single packages on there and small size is on there. Your way of buying from a supplier is nice because you don't have to keep watching for a deal. But if you don't mind watching for deals a few times a week you can save allot of money. I have the time to do this I'm kind of a House wife Slash go-for and helper for my husbands shop.. I sometimes will find myself with two or three or even four cases of diapers. But I've had times were I couldn't find any deals and my supply comes close to drying up. So when that happens I sometimes bit the billet and order from a supplier. There's a woman that has a supply house in Florida that has some good deals from time to time. I've known her for some time I call her from time to time and shoot the breeze with her. I think she gives better deals if she knows you. So in a way I guess I'm kind of sucking up to her  But at the same time she's real nice to talk to. I found her on EBay she was selling some old stock stuff off. Last I spoke to her she had said she was thinking of getting out of the business. So I guess I maybe looking somewhere else :( Well there is my name being called got to go

Sandy,
Thanks for your help! The tranquility ATN did real well this morning. I'm in my second one which I'll wear home after work. I'll see if my wife can hear it when I walk by her. She knows I'm trying several new samples I received from HDIS. I tried to tape it real tight. I use to put underwear over the disposable. It did help, but I didn't really care for the additional bulk. ........Paul
