I will trigger my pee reflex from cold or wet, like rain, cold weather or the shower. Sounds don't affect me though. I have a stream in my yard and the sound never bothers me when I'm working in the gardens.

Cold weather kills my bladder, yes sir it does.

However, I once read a short news report in the health section of the national broadcasting company. According to an endocrinologist, coldness (such as sitting on a cold stone) irritates the bladder and urinary tract via transferring coldness to the tissues. However, coldness also affects the hormones responsible for balancing the production of urine, which causes more urine to be extracted by the kidneys. according to this fellow it is not a defensive mechanism, but rather just a very nasty reaction, which is probably quite useless (pretty much in the same way some people sneeze when subjected to sudden, bright lights). However, there's probably a lot of debate surrounding this. I'm not a natural scientist or anatomist (I come from the Humanities), but the above is what I've read.
