I found that the textile one I purchased from John Lewis that was advertised as waterproof seeped urine in the mattress below after my pad totally failed. I now have a plastic sheet under the textile mattress protecter and you can hardly notice I have one on. It doesn't get too hot either and I sleep better because I have confidence my mattress won't get wet.
Ok many thanks for your help. That is a good idea i will try the plastic sheet under the towelling sheet and see how it goes. Nothing to lose and thanks again
