You can save a lot of money if you can sew your own cloth diapers. I have made 13 for myself. I have urgency incontinence due to a large prostate and if I am home, I can most times get to a bathroom when I need to void, I find that I can remove them to use the toilet and they do not clump like disposable diapers. I wash the fabric before I cut out the pattern so shrinkage is not a problem. After washing them I also hang them on a line outside to dry so that saves even more money. The sewing pattern can be found for free in the internet.

regarding cloth, I experimented with the cloth diaper(leakmaster) I had yesterday and I'm unlikely to ever use it again. I was able to pull and stretch my shrunken product enough to get it to fit. However I stabbed myself multiple times with the pins. it absorbed well but it felt wet which means I wake up wet which defeats the purpose of wearing it in the first place. yes the bed was dry but I want to sleep through an accident, not have my sleep disturbed by having to wake up and change. Also i think I would be more likely to get a rash unless I used a barrier cream. Given that I'm dry most nights I have no desire to spend the time and money putting on a barrier cream.

Thanks for the advice all but I'll stick with disposables.

I strongly suggest you try BetterDry diapers. I we the bed, very heavily, and have not has a single leak since switching to these. Even side sleeping, they hold everything.

Comfycare.net has them, 60 diapers for $99. 1.65 each puts them at competitive pricing to most other premiums. They have giant leak guards, lots of elastic in the leg gathers and TONS of SAP up front and down through the crotch. They're a bit much for daytime use for me, though I do use them for long car rides or long flights.

I can't recommend them enough.

Hi all,
i've given up on using either the Molicare or Abena small. I found one expensive disposable option in a medium that won't be too huge on me. I would need to gain 20+ pounds in order to wear most medium size but xpmedical sells id slip mediums which fit up to 38 inch. Since I don't wet most nights I'm hoping to be able to carefully fold the tapes back in the morning so I can reuse the same diaper the next night.
1 bought 1 case from xpmedical and they are on the way. Shipping was free and they gave me a discount on the price in lieu of me returning the crappy Molicares. i got the case for $50 which is still expensive considering a case only contains 45. Oh well.
