The land that is now my garden had been the foundation under a large above-ground pool. It was 14 inches of sterile yellow clay, perhaps 6 inches of pink sand, a layer of mylar, and, on the bottom, 4 inches of pink sand. Turning that into productive soil has been back-breaking labor. However, it does produce, so much that I do not have enough friends, neighbors, and family to consume it all. Now that I'm on this gastroparesis diet, my gastroenterologist, physical therapist, and a dietician have all warned me that fresh produce will give me belly pain. They know what they're talking about, but fresh produce is a luxury that too many folks cannot enjoy. And, it's good exercise. After a few hours working at my computer and changing my second messy diaper, an hour or two of hard labor in my garden is just the therapy I need.

Good show, Patrick! Your gardening not only is providing therapy for the body (plus good food) - you also are getting therapy for the mind, i.e., something that makes you feel good. My morning exercise walks are that way. I know that most of the time I will have to walk back wearing a messy diaper but the exercise and the open air are worth it. I feel much better afterward.

Wheels, how many pounds are the 3 stones of weight you lost?

Sounds all good, Patrick. Keep enjoying it!

My 3 stone is 42 lbs. My weight is a bit up and down a bit so my loss as of yesterday is down to 40lbs. At around 11 st (154lbs) and 6' 4" I'm quite happy really even if my wife says I'm a bit boney!

I like to be as active as I can, fishing, camping, motorcycle and the yard, along with a bit of regular employment. Not always easy dealing with all this "extra-curricular activities" but it is doable with the right systems. Some days I fight it, other days I just give in due to just being tired of the whole deal, but those days are not as frequent. Puffy

JD,
I envy you your ability to take a walk, knowing that, sometime during it, you will have a bm.
I can take wetness; however, even though I am religious about taking Nullo, a soiled diaper always gives me panic.

Like Puffy ... I like to be as active as I can. I pretty much do all the things that I did prior to the incon symptoms setting in. Involvement with church, sons, sports, home improvements, life, etc. Perhaps I have to plan a bit more than another person about some activity, but I jump in like others. Apart from being considerate of others in terms of odor control, life goes on.
