I hope that removing the cyst is the solution to your problems. Please let us know how things work out for you.

Well Lorcia, I am glad they at least found something (would be much better if they never had to go looking in the first place), but at the same time I can relate to the Ultrasound exam, been there but I think the young female tech was more embarrassed then I was at having to scan around my junk... lol! I hope you get it resolved when it is all over, the procedures down in the nether-regions are not all that enjoyable, that's for sure! 8) Puffy

I also wish you well - I'm glad that the cyst is benign, and I hope the surgery fixes the enlarged prostate issue as well.

So the surgery went okay. They were able to take the cyst out in little chunks through my urethra. So glad they put me out for that. Despite having it removed I'm still leaking, although a different type. Instead of the panicking gushers its the persistent dribbles.
They had me on a catheter for three weeks while I was healing up. It was a recent relief from the soggy bottoms. I got the catheter taken out last Monday and no more burning urine.

I still need to wear diapers because they also injected something into the nerves near my bladder to paralyze it while it was healing. I couldn't stand having the Catheter in. The Cath and pee bag on my leg was more annoying than diapers.

Things are supposed to go back to normal when the paralytic wears off.

I was glad to read that you are healing, at last, from your surgery. Your description reads much like the experience I had with my sphincterotomy. Did you bleed a lot from your surgery? I could not believe how much I bled, and for days afterward. And, I too much prefer diapers over catheters and leg bags. I hope everything returns to normal for you, the sooner the better.
