Hi Piddlefree,

There should be no pain from holding your urine. The feeling of a full and fuller bladder yes, but pain no.

This may be a weird question, but I'm asking it in earnest: How sure are you of that?

Keep in mind that... as far as I can tell... I'm making up for bladder development that should have happened when I was in elementary school. I think most kids have to go through a certain amount of hell -- and, yes, pain -- just from the normal process of "crap, I have to pee, but I can't go for another hour, this sucks but there's no way around it" in school. Right?

I've been operating under the assumption that there *will* be pain, and lots of it, until my bladder learns the same lessons that most kids' bladders learn (painfully) in school.

No? Yes? Kind of?

And yes -- I'm drinking plenty of water. When I was wearing diapers, there was no reason not to, so I still have those habits.

Thanks!!

Hi Bcca
Enablex has some side effects:like hot, dry skin and extreme thirst;severe stomach pain or constipation;confusion, hallucinations;pain or burning when you urinate;urinating less than usual or not at all;severe skin reaction -- fever, sore throat, swelling in your face or tongue, burning in your eyes, skin pain, followed by a red or purple skin rash that spreads (especially in the face or upper body) and causes blistering and peeling.
There are a lot of lesser side effects ,but monethe less you might want to continue with pelvic floor exercising and if you do them correctly which most people dont do ( at least 60%) it should make an improvement within 2 weeks if you do them several times a day.
To learn how to do them properly go to :www.repairincontinence.net/incontinence-treatments.html
go to the link there.

Enablex is pretty strong stuff and I would want to be careful using this drugs to just treat incontinence particularly if its having only minimal benefit.
Stronger pelvic muscles are really the only way to improve your incontinence providing you have no other anatomical reasons why you cannot improve through this exercise.
Good luck my man
