Abena Concealer Replacement?

Fri Apr 08, 2011 11:47 pm

Has anyone heard what is going to be replacing the Abena bodystocking at Xpmedical? I have 4 Abena concealers and they really help to support the diaper and conceal if your shirt rides up. I wear Abena Xplus frequently throughout the day. And the Abena concealer does its job quite nicely. I'm curious to see what Xpmedical is going to replace it with.

Hey Don, I found that Walmart, at least in Canada, carries Spandex/lycra type support underwear, they work almost too well, nothing moves, and no dreaded sag... good for at night as well. For the whole $8 a pair, I bouught more then enough to have a clean pair for every day of the week... then saw they were marked down to $5 yesterday, so I got another 6 pair for when the others lose their stretchablilty, not so far though... worth looking into, made by a co. called Athletic Works... :) Puffy

I sent a message to Gary at xpmedical regarding the Abena bodystocking replacement. This is what he said: "We are still working on it. We are having them custom made to match the Abena design as much as possible. Unfortunately the first samples that were delivered to us had exactly the problem you describe - too loose and they fit like a T-shirt. I think that the garment manufacturer sees size "medium" and automatically cuts the fabric as if they are making a medium shirt. Of course this is way too loose for an effective bodystocking.

We had to send it back and ask for a new sample with the corrected size. It takes a few weeks each time, but I do not want to release the product until it is just right".

The Tshirt style bodystocking he described was made by Gabby's. I bought one of those concealers and it was too big in the crotch. It did not support the diaper and one of the snaps broke off. I am very disappointed with it. I will not buy another one. I told Gary about it in my email. I told Gary that I liked the Abena bodystocking the best. I own 5 of them. I am really curious as to what he replaces it with.

( Abri-Fix Pant Super ) By ABENA .I have tried them for two days and I like them. You just have to look for the best price as they are priced all over from $6.95 for three pair with high shipping to 19.95 a pair with not as high of shipping. :D

I don't like KCK. Their customer service isn't so great. Stick with XP.

Problem is XP Med does not have the item being sought out... makes me wonder why other sites have them, or so they say they do... just finding alternates to locate them, Puffy

Puff,
According to XP, they are not being made anymore. So if you find them on the net, they are probably just leftovers.

XP is working with a manufacturer to replicate the exact dimensions of the abena concealer because they worked so well. They want to duplicate the same fit. Its just a matter of time before they get a fit that works. I like the abena concealers so much that I will be first in line to try the new concealers XP comes out with.

Yeah, I figured they must be stragglers that they have, most likely not many left out there either, Puffy
