Hi all.

Its been forever since I have posted. I have been in and out of the hospital a LOT. My health sucks to put it bluntly. I have another urodynamics test on the 10th because once again I an retaining. The last couple of days I have only peed once a day. My urologist is pushing for me to give a suprapubuc catheter another shot. I told him I would think about it. I cant do foleys or intermittent cathing. So I think I am going to do it. The last thing I need is my kidneys failing and that is where I am headed.

One day at a time....

Your situation reads similar to mine, years ago. I had to choose between dialysis and diapers. Two sphincterotomies later, I must wear diapers 24/7, but my kidneys are unharmed. If you can live with complete loss of bladder control, this may be a solution you could suggest to your urologist. Good luck and report back when you can.

I also have retention issues due to issues with the nerve to the bladder muscle telling it to empty according to urologist (issues l3l4l5s1)

I have an indwelling catheter as well as an open valve as my bladder has issues with closed valves and I have issues with leg bags.
My urologist clinic agreed to trial open valve draining into diaper I am also on a high capsule of Cranberry.
