Skin care is soooo important when you're incontinent. I shower every morning and again at night just before bed. After each shower is when I use a high-quality skin barrier. Checking the skin twice per day for any skin issues (red marks/sores) allows me the perfect time to take care of any skin issues.

I use a combination of disposables and cloth diapers. It took some doing, but I got the VA to buy me 3 dozen cloth diapers. I can tell anyone before they start receiving any incontinent products from the VA they are anti-cloth diaper use just for all the reasons Don explained in his prior post about using cloth diapers. Skin care is very high on the list of priorities with the VA and since extensive cloth diaper usage WILL cause skin issues the VA is not so keen on the use of cloth diapers. At least this is what I have experienced. It goes without saying that good skin care and less exposure to wet/soiled diapers means healthier skin. I often wear cloth diapers for extended periods of time and almost always wait until I get home before I change and I generally don't have skin issues. I tribute this to healthy skin and all the preventative measures that I take to keep healthy skin so I don't develop any skin issues.

Question for Don,.....are you using any of the cloth diapers now, or have you switched back to using only disposables? Regardless of what use, skincare is a top priority in my opinion. Just curious,...good luck with whatever works the best.

From what the describe it sounds like a good idea, though a little expensive. Question is how, is it in real life?

I tried those night pants years ago, and they were not only expensive, but they also leaked. You can also buy them on Amazon but I recommend you read the ratings of these pants before you buy. * star rated. Doesn't sound like there are any better now than when a pair 5, or 6 years ago.

The total absorption is less than 1l at the maximum. Even pull-ups absorb more than that and a good disposable will absorb more than 3l -- certainly more than two bladders full. Plus it doesn't even keep the urine close to the source, by the sound of things. Wouldn't touch it with a barge-pole, even given that it's designed for 'training' and to feel moist against the skin, rather than for chronic night-time wetting that won't go away.
