Not feeling well lately

be careful with diverticulitis what you think may be a uti could actually be diverticulitis. if the uti comes back clear then it is the bowel disease this in itself needs treating as it can be life threatening.

for many years with having a catheter in i kept getting what i thought were uti infections but each sample came back clear apart from the odd ones this then left me with unexplained bowel pain and yes it is very painful.

after ct scan the bowel disease was confirmed but each ct scan showed the disease getting worse and worse it had gone into the rectum.

diverticulitis symptoms can actually mimic uti if the disease is lower down.

sadly now i have been found to have a abdomen mass and am at hospital this Thursday to discuss options as they need to get biopsies to confirm if it is malignant or benign. totally dreading it but got to go and get this thing over and done with.

Thank you for the warnings! I’m very sorry that you’re going through so much right now and I pray that you will get a good diagnosis soon!!
Strangely, I feel **much** better today. My CT scan was ordered but I’m awaiting a call to schedule. My husband is convinced that the antibiotics are finally doing what they are supposed to do and I have no gastric issues right now.
Unfortunately however, I’m about “free flow” right now. I’m having to use a pad on the bed while changing or else I make a mess.
