Ok, so as most of you know I'm trying to found CARING as a non-profit(Name change to avoid being confused with care.com). I realized recently that I should partner with the folks trying to get adult sized changing tables installed in restrooms (known as Changing Spaces here in the US). It occured to me that I could provide a vending machine selling premium disposable diapers donated by CARE and the money in the machine would go toward the upkeep of the bathroom, and hte building of new facilities. In exchange, they would help us with our own efforts. We are on the same mission, provviding the incontinent with dignity. Another idea I had is approching the Premium brands that are located her in the US(Confidry, A+ from XP Medical and Northshore brand diapers) for sponsorship in exchange for offering their products exclusively in the vending machines, as well as advertising on the machine for each brand. What do you all think?

Peace out!'

Rob

The rationale behind offering more than one brand is that one brand may not work for everyone. They are all cut differently, but seeing as how Confidry is offered by both companies..

Hi Rob. I have been keeping tabs on your posts about running your non-profit. I hold degrees in Business Administration, Management, and Economics. I respect what you’re trying to do. I think it’s a noble idea. But it can be extremely complex. Like with any other business, even if you’re not in it to make money, there can be huge tax and legal implications. You’ll most likely delve into contract law and negotiations. I’m not in the least trying to discourage you. If you have not studied this in school, many universities offer programs such as graduate certificates in non-profit management. It may be useful and give you some ideas on how to go about this. I have a strong feeling it would be extremely helpful. It would take some investment, but you may save yourself some headache. Good luck to you!

-Don

I’m sorry. I would have to decline. My degrees only talked about non profits for a short time. I don’t know a lot about them. If you want to know about the economy and how financial systems work then I can help with that. But running a non profit enterprise was a different degree path.

Still, I could use someone with that knowledge!
