I ordered a sample of the abena original because they are plastic backed and i cant do cloth.
XP sent me abri-form premiums and i about had a fit. But low and behold these are plastic.
I always thought the originals were the only plastic backed abenas?

Ah well. i had to suck it up and apologize to the folks at xp. ive had a rough day and i sent them a harsh email.
Hopefully they forgive me.

Don't sweet it Justej.. I went with dry 24/7 after the hole change over to cloth back got me so messed up with abena.. I have to admit that I have not used their diapers in a long time. Their xp pads and their pul-up work well though.

never heard of that. I thought all the "premiums" were cloth.

I ordered a case of originals last month from XP and they were as expected. I have a case from them coming tomorrow and I'll see what it is.

Maybe they just mislabeled the sample packaging? I'm fairly certain that in Abean-speak "premium" = their crappy cloth diapers.

Nope, cloth disposable diapers are all pretty much crap.

"Premium" disposables are pretty much limited to Confidry 24/7 and Northshore supreme at the moment.

Some also argue Fabines, ABU, and Crinklz but they all seem to be hit and most for a lot of people. Only those first two seem to be pretty consistent in performance and reliability for the vast majority.

no, in this context, "premium" is the branding Abena uses vs "original" for their plastic backed diapers.

I agree there is nothing premium about them.

I disagree. I do still think that Abena's plastic diapers are as premium as anyone else's. Absolutely top shelf diapers IMO. The tapes are fantastic, the absorbency is superb, and the plastic is soft and they're very comfortable.

I much prefer them to dry 24/7 and think they're a tad better than even Northore supremes (mostly a fit issue).

Dry 24/7 tapes pop off and I can't get them to not leak. Probably a fit issue there, but the tapes issue is a manufacturing defect. It's always the bottom left tape.
