regarding Papa's comments...

I know how you feel when seeing another who also shares incontinence
issues. Back in college days, my g/f then was a life-long bedwetter, and this was well before I encountered incontinence problems later in life. From that I did gain an early understanding of the problem relating to
adults who had either day or night incontinence or enuresis, as it was termed. My college g/f contracted polio when she was in 2nd grade and that was partly the cause of her bladder control deficit, especially at night.

Fast forward now some years and after my incontinence became a daily reality. I have known two women whom I dated who also were managing bladder incontinence. I met one on-line some time back, but she lived out of town by about three hours, so our contacts were close, but not frequent. The second woman I met quite by chance thru my
interest in motorcycle riding (old Harley guy). She was local and also
owned a bike. She experienced stress incontinence problems when riding
and used protection. Of course only after dating a few times did all this
come to light and I brought up my concerns first. She then quickly reassured me that I was not alone and told me her story. We dated
for two years...evening taking two cross-country bike rides together.

Papa, you make a good point that when seeing someone in the same situation, you do spend a lot less time seeking support on a board or in a chat area. Your contacts in person become more important and just so much more rewarding when there is someone to share those normally very discreet and hidden matters of bladder control and personal management. It's very helpful to have that someone you can trust
to ask and one who is near and very willing to share. It's good for the soul and one's emotional health. I've been there; I know.

To that extent, best wishes for a continuing and rewarding relationship
with your female friend. I know you must mean a lot to her, as well.

John.

I am like many others, I check the board all the time to see what is going on. I am not a huge poster because most of my questions have been answered by reading what has already been posted.

I thank all those that have posted and keep this board alive.

K.T.
