I've been invited to a weekend party this weekend and I'm not sure how to deal with it.
I'll be staying at my friends parents house from Friday to Sunday. Her parents are out of town. I've been Re-assured that I'll have a private space to "do my thing" but I'm still nervous as hell. My friend who is hosting the party is one of my best friends and knows about my incontinence issues. She's really supportive and all but still. Tips?
Thanks. :?

I assume you're bringing some sort of protection. It's better to over-pack than to run short. I would recommend bringing a brand you're used to and trust, then change a little sooner than you might normally to minimize the chance of leaking. Pack adequate wipes and skin protectant as needed.

Bring small scented trash bags for disposal; it helps cut down on odor compared to just tossing the used diaper directly in the bin.

Ask her beforehand what her trash service is like. Offer to handle taking out the trash while you're there. Make sure the private space you'll be changing in has a trash bin, preferably one with a lid.

If you're sleeping over, consider bringing a waterproof cover for the bed just in case. The ones made with PUL backing are very quiet, discreet, and machine-washable.

So just preparation and peace of mind stuff, really. The most important step was to tell her, which you've already down and it sounds like she's cool with it.

I second Ender's comments. Since your friend knows about and is accepting of your issues, half the battle is won. Have a great time.

Justej

Just go and have fun :) its always easier when your friend you are staying with knows your IC issue,

Just pack extra diapers you trust
2 waterproof washable bed pads you will have a spare pad to swap out incase you leak

But the main thing is to spend time with your friends and have fun

Welp. I'm stuck at home with a 102 degree fever so no party for me.
Ah well. I got myself all amped up too!
Thanks for the advice everyone.

For future reference ... gallon freezer bags. On a short trip, you can pack everything out.
