I know it sounds horrible to pee in a pool, but in reality it is not as bad as it seems. I talked to my Dr and he said our kidneys are wonderful filters that sterilize the urine. I understand the yuck factor about swimming in urine but the chlorine in pools are intentionally raised for that purpose, to kill any living bacteria. I swim alot in the summer and to counter act the yuck/yellow/strong oder of urine I drink alot of water, I flow alot more but it is clear and when I get out, I keep a damp towel around my waist to hide any leaks untill I go back in, or leave.

I haven't got the nerve to try it yet. I'll have to build up to it.

LtsofQues,
Just remember this. You're in the pool for the enjoyment of swimming. I, personally, use it for exercise each morning. If you leak a little bit, it's OK! You are not in the pool intentionally urinating.
Come on in! The water feels really warm! .....Paul Martin

Don't worry about leaking in the pool; that's what the chlorine is for. Hey they don't call the little kiddy pool the "pee pool" for nothing.......Sandy :)

LtsofQues,
On the other Yahoo forum, someone noted a swim diaper by Discovery Trekking. I went to their website and looked at it. Their web site address is www.discoverytrekking.com. You may want to go to that site and take a look at them. They are not cheap, but if they work, they're probably worth it. ................Paul Martin

Thanks Paul. I thought the swims weren't for holding urine? Just to be honest I have shyed away from excercise for now. I 'm planning to start walking. Not having many problems lately and excercise is a guarnateed way to go before I get home froma walk. It's just an excuse!

Keep the exercizing up, LtsofQues! It really helps in so many ways. I just hate it when I miss a day or a whole week when I'm out of town. I just stay prepared if my incontinence acts up accordingly. ..........Paul Martin
