I wondered the same thing.... glad it wasn't just me.

Hmm... I tend to agree on that being very strange.

Sorry my 1st reply opened so many questions. Definitely needed more details.

Her incontinence was urge incontinence (needing to go quickly and often) caused when she was overly nervous about something upcoming, quite often karate events when she had to demonstrate skills in front of others. The event might be far off but if she was thinking about it she had a problem and might urinate every 15-20 min. We also had to deal with constipation with her, which a pediatric urologist diagnosed. The x-rays showed her backed up to just under her rib cage and it was causing her bladder to spasm. Deltrol LA cleared the spasms and Miralex(?) cleared her out. We used diapers when we couldn't guarentee easy access to restrooms and this included Midnight Mass (small church with one unisex toilet for 400 people or so), karate tournaments, long drives (1200 miles) to visit family, and during winter activities (warming house was a distance away). Sometimes we suggested the protection and other times she requested it if she knew she was having a tough day.

The other problem she faced was really bad giggle incontinence when she was 10-12. The last time she had a diaper on was because she flooded 3-4 underwear in a single day, when playing at school and roughhousing with the dog. This wasn't a super common event but it happened sometimes.
