Perhaps for the most part a repetition of what some few have said elsewhere, nonetheless here are my two cents on the Confidry 24/7 as compared the old Dry 24/7.

Improvements:
1. Best plastic backing an adult diaper has ever seen. Hardy, almost rubbery in feel, yet pliable and glides across the skin.
2. Stronger elastic waistbands in the front and, and finally, in the back.
3. Stronger feeling leak guards, not to impugn the old ones, but hey I'll take it.
4. Slightly bigger tap tabs.
5. AMERICAN made!

Requires improvement, and fast:
1. Total capacity; the confidry feels "definitely wet" fairly quickly, as very opposed to the old Dry 24/7.
2. Wicking; wicking responce rapidly diminishes after first initial wetting. Even when dry the Confidry needs to do better, particularly when it is under pressure to perform, say when you are sitting or you are wearing snug clothing.
3. Distribution; if in fact the Confidry holds ninety plus ounces of fluid, it does not utilize this capacity at all. Wetness swells in the crotch and does not tend to redirect evenly downward.
4. The lack of transparency with this manufacturer, and the fact that no changes or improvements will come as a result of what we say here or elsewhere, despite some of the things marketer's say on the Dry Care homepage.

Considering performance, the Confidry is about half the diaper the Dry 24/7 was. It is about on par with the Abena M4, more or less, making it still a great resource to keep in your inventory. If you haven't tried this diaper yet, then you should, and I hope you found this helpful.

What do you think?
Thanks for reading!

Thanks for the feedback on those OmegaZ, and welcome to the forum. I just got a sample of those, and forum them about the same as you did, but the Medium for size seemed HUGE compared to the Tena Supers I normally wear, it almost seemed like a large, same went for the M3 and the Molicare, all seemed much bigger then a Medium should be. Definitely when you are primarily used to another brand, the roomy size is the first thing you will notice. However, the amount of surface area that the actual padding occupies out in the wings is not very much, so really it's not as big as it seems, you just have a lot of slack in the cut, which shrinks and lowers quickly with wear, and which makes fitting a breeze. I have heard some folks name this as a fault, among other things, but personally I love this feature. I'm about a size 30-32, and the medium fits me just fine.

And thanks for having me, it is a privilege to be a part of this community.

Hi,

I just finished the second half of my shift wearing this brief..so i thought id share my thoughts. This week all week ive been wearing extended wear briefs because i got fed up with trying to make it to the toilet.. while most times i did.. it was just a small amount of urine.. and it slowed me down at work. So last week I ordered a bag of A+ level 4 and ConfiDry 24/7. Both have their good points and their weaknesses. The good points about A+ is that overall, it seemed to be more comfortable than the confi dry 24/7, and seemed to feel drier when wet to a certian extent. WEaknesses would be the tapes are kind of fickle in that they looked like they would separate after being streched after being applied, and the plastic backing seemed to not be as strong as other diapers. But it was a good brief overall. Confi Dry 24/7..good points are marginally less worry about tape tabs.. they have leak guards, and refastenable tapes if i need em, and the brief is thinner than other extended wear diapers. Low points are that its not always comfortable as A+, sometimes the plastic backing tore, this was more of an issue with tape placement than anything else.

I will say this.. Confi Dry made me a believer in the fesabilty of extended wear. I thought for sure with the amout of wettings i felt coming out id leak.. NOPE.. went from lunch to the end of my shift with 1 brief. I will say with both briefs, nether has lasted an entire shift.. not out of lack of absorbency, but tears in the backsheet, etc. When i took off the dry 24/7 after my shift, i was amazed at how much urine was absorbed in the crotch.. wicking did not seem to be an issue.. the crotch had enough SAP to contain everything i threw at it witout needing to spread it..

Peace out!

ROb

I currently use both the level 4 plastic backed Abena, the confi24/7 and the molicare purple super plus nighttime.

The three have their uses.

Confidry is the toughest backing sheet I have ever seen. BEST overnight brief I have ever used.

I wish they would keep their quilted design, but steal Abenas recipe for gel/fiber distribution.
Confidry is not great after the second wet.
If you are a small bladder person who spurts out every twenty minutes, it works a lot better than floods.
(This is my case)
Still, for going out, the Molicare is my choice for its softness and it silence.
Abena is for longer periods...or in the wheelchair, where the crinkle does not matter.

The confidry is the most comfortable taped diaper I have ever worn. Feels "wetter" at first than Abena or Molicare...but it works very well just the same.
Very good to be secure knowing it will not tear or slide down when turning in bed.
