I received my sample of Wellness diapers today. I got 2 medium and 2 large. The mediums fit ok. I haven't tried the large yet. I wouldn't buy them though. My experience so far is not comparable to an Abena product. I don't believe you could actually call these an extended wear diaper. I wore mine for 4 hours. I wet in it twice and and the diaper was almost at full capacity. One more wetting and it would probably have leaked. I would have worn it longer to see if it could take more but the diaper fluff started to fall apart. So I took it off. After two wettings and just 4 hours, the diaper fluff completely fell apart and clumped together. This reminded me of a Wings quality diaper. The capacity isn't even comparable to an Abena super for me. A super I can leak in several times during the course of about 5 hours and the diaper won't fall apart. It stays together and does not leak. I wear Extras every day and can wet in these like 5 times. They hold up to multiple refastenings. Then there is the Xplus. I wear this diaper for 8 hours sometimes. After seeing the Wellness diaper perform today, I would never trust it for an 8 hour shift no matter what the sales pitch says. I have bladder and bowel incontinence. I didn't have a BM in the Wellness brief but I don't know if I would chance it. I'm not sure if the leak guards would hold. I know that if Abena does make the switch to cloth like backing, my money is probably going with Molicare. Pardon my rant....had to get that off my chest.

I bought two cases, they seem to work pretty well except I ALWAYS sleep on my stomach and they don't have as much padding in front as the Abena and the bed pad got wet. They do work well during the day though and 8 hours is not out of the question although they do seem to vary some in the capacity, more so than the Abena. I'll probably wear the Wellness during the day and the Abena at night. I suppose I could use the Wellness at night if I put a doubler in them but why do I need to add to what's there just to keep dry?
I ordered another two cases but they haven't gotten here yet.

The Wellness brief/diaper is not the worse I've every used, that honor belongs to Wings. The only thing worse than Wings would be the use of a sponge and custom fitted plastic trash bag over the sponge to hold everything in place with the use of some strong tape.
All of this revolves around personal preference and whatever level of protection you feel comfortable in using. I HATE leaks, and at night I sleep on my side a lot so I wear a good quality cloth diaper for night protection. During the day, I like the Abena Extra M3, or for extends day wear the Abena X-Plus M4 is one of the best on the market. Everytime I have used the Wellness diaper in the past it split apart in the back of the diaper. This is not a major problem most of the time because I wear plastic pants over the diaper for added protection. Good thing I did,..... I would have had wet diaper fluff all over the bed, or the floor. Here's the way I look at,.... if the fluff is falling out of the diaper,.....what kind of protection do I have? I don't like the idea of wearing this diaper and then go around cleaning up all the fallen wet diaper particles. I guess NASA must have used a strong version of this diaper. I know this diaper never made it to to the moon,.....it would have fallen apart within a few hours after lift off.
Like I said,.....it's personal preference, but my experience with the Wellness brief is it falls apart and that makes this diaper useless to me for the level of protection I need. Just my thoughts on the matter.

Different strokes for different folks, that's why the adult disposable market has such variety. What's good for the goose may not necessarily be good for the gander.
I will say that I am pleased with the Wellness Briefs. They're not my favorite product and no, they don't stand up to an Abena X-plus, but they are comfortable and durable... great to wear during the daytime. I consider the capacity to be adequate and I've not had one bunch up on me due to movement. Plus with the heavy duty plastic shell you can pull the tapes really tight for a super snug fit that won't sag.
I ordered two cases around the holidays and ordered two more last week... the $20 off sale makes them $1 each, which is hard to beat.
I still have my Abenas and Dry 24/7s for night time, as well as cloth diapers to mix in. But these wellness briefs have been a solid daytime performer for me.

Puddleguy,
Another thing I ran into with the Wellness briefs were that the tapes were too strong. I got 4 samples. I ripped two of them trying to get them undone from the diaper when I was trying to apply the brief. They were super sticky. So to me, wellness has not worked out all the kinks yet. There are too many problems for me to wear them. I'm glad you like them though. They just aren't for me or Johnstone. I know we aren't the only ones with those problems.

My experience with briefs is that you have to find the right product and fit. I have been using a company in Florida that has greatly helped me find the products that work for me. If you want to get their contact info please send a reply

Whenever I have trusted the wellness brief my pants were wet on the third wetting. I would not pay so much money for a diaper that leaks the thrid time.

I bought a package of these. They don't hold much! I've found the new 24/7 will hold more than any diaper out there and not leak!

I've tried the Dry 24/7s in the past. IMO they are right on the verge of too much diaper. Thick and thirsty to an extreme, which is great in specific circumstances but not ideal for others. Also they are quite expensive per unit and I've heard lots of reports of hit-or-miss quality as well.

I am receiving samples soon

, I will try to let you know if they work or not. I feel that these could be over rated like Depends and I don't think NASA uses these, they have their own custom MAGs.
