Just need to vent

Since being in my wheelchair for the past month my arms are super sore. My home health aide rarely shows up (I'm working on getting a new one) and I'm left alone. Changing is excruciatingly painful. I have been waiting until I absolutely have to to change and I'm starting to get a rash. I spend my time in bed due to the pain in my knee and amputated leg and arms. I pretty much only go out for medical appointments and once a week when I force myself through the pain and get coffee with a friend. I'm tired. I hurt. I need an aide that actually helps me. I had to have my neighbor take out my trash today (and now the cat is out of the bag that I wear diapers.)

Vent away. I can understand the not going out thing. Every time I go out right now I end up needing a day just to recover from it. I cannot wait to see my doctor this month.

Vent away everyone needs this. I would not worry about your neighbour this will help you in the long run! Have you thought about a Supercharged wheelchair to look after your arms!

I can't imagine all that you are dealing with. You have my prayerful support.
I'm sure your doctors have discussed sores with you, but please be careful with rash. It can turn into an open sore. Those are harder to treat and get rid of. Open bed sores can lead to sepsis and that is very-very hard to treat, even in hospital.
Best to you in dealing with a totally full plate.

Add my concern and best wishes. Incontinence complicated by mobility issues such as yours, not to mention the continuing pain and an absent caregiver make one helluva problem. Vent away, and I look forward to reading that you have acquired a new and responsible caregiver.

Thanks everyone. Sorry it took a while to respond. It's been a lot of appointments, pain, tears and frustration. Today was a horrible day. To the point where I just wanted to give up. I told my aide it hurt to take my wheelchair in and out of the building by myself and she said "it will get better". I wanted to reach through the phone. I'm exhausted.
