This sounds a little strange but just have to ask if anyone else has ever experienced this. Since I have been wearing, and I never would have noticed before, but I couldn't help but notice a few other diaper wearers in public places such as in stores etc. It's not like I was going around looking to spot other people wearing them and I never would have noticed if I hadn't experienced it myself and I actually feel pretty bad for even mentioning or noticing. For example with Depend belted undergarments I had a line down the sides of the back which I didn't notice for some time until I walked past a mirror and had on sweat pants and them ended up noticing the exact same thing on at least two other people. Probably many "newbies" think that with sweat pants and a belted ug they are being more discreet and from experience you wish that you could go up and say excuse me but I have tried that and it doesn't work, try this instead. With what I'm using now it can show a bit of a square shape in the back with certain pants. It really doesn't matter because it works. Noone probably will notice unless they use it themselves is what I've realized. Another thing unintentionally noticed wasa woman in a department store sudeenly had a bad leak and looked so nervous and people were rudely staring. I felt so sorry for her and wished it was appropriate to say don't worry we all have been there, just switch to tena! I guess its about the same thing as another woamn telling me my slip is showing or you have a run in your hose but that a guy would never notice. Also when you see someone buying a pack of Depends you want to say, don't use those, you'll be sorry. I'm sure that what I've noticed lately is not normal, but for whatever reason, it happened.

LOQ, I think it is normal, but it might be more of a "if I can tell they are wearing diapers, can people tell I am wearing diapers?" type of thing. Papa

Yes, that's exactly what it is, also seeing its more common than you realized before.

LtsofQues,
Since we are diaper wearers, we know what to look for. Like you said, we are not specifically looking for those, but we just happen to know what to notice.
I think knowing what to wear and not to wear is the key to keep any one from noticing. Sweat pants sound like they would be a great hider, but they're not. An incontinent peron will eventually find the best protection that conceals well under clothes. Or you could wear any protection you want and wear bib overalls, and no one will ever know you have a diaper on! But, I'm not a farmer and that would get old fast. ......................Paul Martin

It makes you realize its more common than we think. You just learn through experience about what works. After noticing that there are others with the same problem there is no need to be embarrassed as long as there are no leaks.

Lts of Ques,
You said it all! There are probably millions of people out there every day who are wearing diapers all around us. Thankfully, people who know of this website, have the available information to accept their problem and work out the kinks.
Leaks will always be with us. Knowing how to cope and prevent them is everyone's concern. Just sometimes we get put into a situation we were not ready for and it happens. Sandy has shared her situations, and she did just great! ...........Paul Martin

Hi all sometimes I think I can tell if someone is wearing a diaper but if you have a few accidents it is better for them to wounder than leak an confrim your incontinence.

It is strange. We all talk about hiding or concealing or keeping our diaper wearing hidden. My God what is worst? Wearing diapers and living a semi-normal life or the alternative of NOT wearing diapers which would be unimaginable! What is more "babyish?" controlling a medical condition or walking around in wet pants? Yes yes I know the connection between wearing diapers and feeling babyish, but, where do people get off "talking" about it and realize that making jokes about a blind person for using a cane or a parapaligic for using a wheelchair is as tasteless as making fun of someone who uses diapers for incontinence! Papa
Just venting! Sorry

RIGHT ON! PAPA
My sentiment is the same. I am so tired of the diaper tied to baby mentality.
I know it is ingrained in the minds of people, diaper = baby, and
I do not blame all the ABDLs, I'm sure most keep it to themselves. As the age of people progress and the need for protection rises, there will be more awareness of the need for it. then the diaper = baby/old person will exist.
As for people in the in between age, we will still be made out as freeks and wierdos untill the word gets out that young and middle age people have a need for diapers as well, and are not babies nor do we consider are selves to be so.
I know I'm preaching to the pulpit, this is my vent day to I guess.
Take care and have a dry day
