Does anyone have any inputs on the possible effects of diet (foods or drinks), or physical activity (including sex), or emotional concerns (worry, joy, or other emotional feelings) on the frequency or volume of their incont?
Just wondering.

Stay away from choclate, caffiene and citrus, especially grapefruit. Bread can help slow you down.

I find caffiene and alcohol are major culprips in increasing my frequency and reducing the time I have from the initial warning to my bladder emptying. However, emotional stress is the major player for me in managing my incontinence. It increases my frequency, the strength of the urge and the number of accidnets I have.

I would agree with Richard Caffeine and Alcohol are two big ones to avoid. I myself don't worry to much about the amount I leak I have so little control as it is. I gave up stressing about that years ago. My advice would be not to worry so much about the amount your leaking but to wear proper protection for your issue. While I agree that Caffine and Alchohol you be good things to avoid. I would also like to add don't restrict yourself from fluids to avoid leaking. Often times one of the mistakes people make that have our condition is to not drink allot which can lead to many other problems as well including UTI's and also Diaper rash...............My two cents and some change

Hi Sandy
Thank you for your great advice. I've decided today to wear adequate protection for the whole time that I'm away from the house, as I have little warning before my bladder empties. The emotional trauma that I mentioned that makes my Urge Incon worse is dealing with the emotional impact of living as a newly blind person. I get more accidents on the reallyhard days.
I'll also bear in mind the need to keep hydrated, which tends to go against immediate logic doesn't it.
Thanks again for the advice Sandy.
Richard
