Abena Abri-flex M3 Pull-ups?

Sun Jan 08, 2017 1:28 am

Question for the group:
Have any of you tried the Abri-flex pull-ups? I was thinking about ordering some for use around my house. I wear Dry 24/7 when out and about and to sleep. The pull-ups would be strictly for day wear around my home. What are your thoughts on the product. I am doubly incontinent but I do ok around the house. A pull-up would be handy around my home. Advice?

Don, while I prefer tabbed diapers (I mostly wear ConfiDry 24/7 during the day and cloth at night), IMHO the Abena Abri-flex are the best pull-ups around. They may be fine for you to use around the house. I use Abri-flex pull-ups at home when I am waiting to put on a tabbed diaper before leaving the house. However, I am using the level 4 absorbency. I too am double incontinent and would not trust pull-ups when out of the house.

perfect for around the house. the best pullup I have found anywhere
but it says a lot about pullups when one is not willing to trust one out and about
if the abena pullup would wick better it would be ok for an hour or 2 out and about.
but it doesn't do that very well

I did try them, and pullups have never worked for me. It seemed like I could never get them to last even 90 minutes before leaking (some not even 9 minutes). The numerous changes were annoying and interruptive. Plus, the sheer number of changes were more expensive than just using a good premium diaper for the same amount of time (which is also leak free).

I've never understood how they can work good for so many, but of course I don't have slight stress or trickle incontinence either.

So I gave the abri-flex pull-ups a try. They didn't quite work out. They worked ok for my wetting but not great. They held up to mild to moderate urinary leakage, but I had a severe flood and it leaked everywhere. Luckily, I was at home and just changed clothes. Also, since I'm bowel incontinent, it didn't stand up to that either even though it was advertised for such. I didn't dare wear these out of the house. So I gave up on the pull-ups and just went back to my 24/7's.
