Starting an incontinence blog

Thu Apr 16, 2015 6:13 am

Hey all,
Since writing seems to help me cope with my incontinence, I have decided that it was high time that i start a blog about dealing with incontinence. I made darn sure that it's not connected to my current blogger account, or my current email.. and that I go by the handle Dragon on the site..and my real name is not visible. I only have 1 published post with a second in the works. The first was an intro and the second is dealing with FAQ and dispelling common myths about incontience. I don't know how long illl keep up with it.. I started a blog about defending Catholicsm, and that lasted all of 3 or 4 posts before I lost interest.. maybe this will be more sustained because it's on my mind more often? I don't know..

The url is https://thrivingwithincontinence.wordpress.com/ and the title Is "Thriving Despite Urinary Incontinence.
If anyone has suggestions for topics they would like to see, let me know...

Peace out!

Rob

Rob,

Good luck with the new blog. I agree that for some of us writing does help us cope with the emotional aspects of our incontinence. Essentially, that is what my white papers "An Introduction to Adult Diapers - Their Selection and Wear," and "Preventive Enemas for the Control of Fecal incontinence" have become for me - a form of therapy as well as hopefully providing something useful for the incontinent community.

In your blog, avoid the mistake of biting off too much at a time - just choose one small topic and work on that.

For me, the act of writing, even if nobody else ever reads it, is very useful, because it forces me to frame my thoughts logically, coherently, and put my situation in a context useful to others. Good luck.

I second everyone's wishes of "good luck!"

Writing is very cathartic and I pray enriches your time.

I am not much of a writer, but I know sometimes it helps just to put it on paper, but in my case I shred it afterwards.
