Need some advice on a co-worker

Wed Sep 10, 2014 9:26 am

So, I have come to believe that one of my coworkers is wearing diapers as well. Last night when we were working together I noticed, as she was bending over to clean something and her shirt rode up, that whatever she was wearing under her pants were dark color and plasticy (if that's a word). As I noticed later on it looked as though she had some additional padding there that could very well be a diaper.

Now, here is the situation. She is younger than I am (about 24 or so) and just had a baby 4 months ago. So, she is probably wearing something for the after effects of the birth. I have no problem with this.

My questions are: Should I even bother mentioning anything to her at all or just let it go? If I do mention anything to her, how would I go about it?

I am leaning towards letting it go because I don't want to be wrong and cause any friction that doesn't need to be there.

I just wanted to get some advice from all of you.

Trust your gut and leave it alone. If she is wearing protection because of her pregnancy and stress incontinence then she is likely embarrassed.

I would hate to be outed by a coworker with the same problem... And I have been. Unless you and she are close friends and you think it would strengthen her, what is the point of letting her know that you know or outing yourself? I don't feel the need to let people know I might have diabetes, so why would I share another medical issue.

Especially if she isn't wearing protection.

Regardless,

Let sleeping dogs lay... I would not go there and say anything either, and let anyone know I also worn when needed, plain and simple. Best off not broaching the subject IMO, Puffy

That's where I was leaning too. I just wanted some advice on the matter too. Thanks all!

I would say nothing. If you saw her wearing any other type of underwear it wouldn't be appropriate to say anything. It's no different even if her underwear happens to be a diaper. I understand the temptation to talk to someone in person who has a similar problem and knows what it's like. I'm grateful for the support and discussion available here, but it's not the same as talking to someone face to face. Plus, she might angry enough to file a complaint against you that could easily get you fired. Let sleeping dogs lay I say.
