I have not posted in a while.. So I have all but given up soda which still has not helped a lot. One issue is that constipation seems to make my bed wetting worse. Like it I eat stuff that messes with my stumic I will have issues that night were it is sit on the toilet all night dribbling in pain or diaper up and sleep through the dribbling and flooding. What is weird I'd that I cut a lot of bad food the use to give me the runs out of my diet and not the opposite is happening. Well just thought I would pop in and say somethings it has been a while. Hope all is well with everyone.

I had this same thing happen to me a while back. All of the processed foods and sugary drinks gave me a near constant runs. When I cut it all out I became constipated.

I've found that adding in extra fiber helps a LOT for me. You may want to try it too.

Hi, FLGuy - It's good to hear from you, but I'm sorry that you're having intestinal problems. Since you're having pain along with the diarrhea, I think you should have a medical work-up to rule out IBS/IBD or something worse. Alternating between diarrhea and constipation is a symptom that should be immediately addressed by a doctor.

As to diet, I agree with Brian. You should have an adequate fiber intake and drink plenty of water (especially in your climate). I'd go with natural fiber found in fresh fruits, veggies, nuts and whole grains before going the metamucil-type route, though.

It's my understanding that constipation can make bedwetting worse, although I've had the opposite problem for most of my life....

W.

A tip on fibre from Scotland - eat your porridge in the morning! It takes less than 5 mins to make and is full of good fibre to help the guts along,

So a lot of my issue is a few things, first it is hot as hello-kitty outside and as I have to go outside some for work it has been hard drinking enough. I have all but gave up soda but I am drinking flavored water that has caffeine in it so it is just as bad but has no sodium or sugar so. The other thing is that my diet at work is not good. I get an hour brake but most days my lunch is fried chicken or a TV diner. I will down a half gallon of sweet tea and that will be it. Work also has a lot of lifting as I stock water at a grocery store now so. I feel it is just a lack of both sleep and a bad scheduled that is causing most of the stumic issues.. Like I will only eat a meal once a day then when I get home at 11pm I will get junk food and try to be in bed by 2am so... The bed wetting has been a thing for so long now that it is expected.
