I was a barefoot water skier before the botched surgery that left me incontinent. I use my barefoot pants over my diaper, there not totally water proof but they keep most of the water out and tight to your body. I first used this at the beach were we had a long walk to were I could change. But at home in our pool, I just drain the diaper after I get out of the pool under the cover of a towel.

I have heard from another who's also incontinent, that apparently there are swim shorts which can be used with a diaper underneath, without the diaper getting wet from the outside water.

Can anyone confirm that such products actually are available and if so provide links?

I don't know if this is what you are after.

They look a lot like the Suprima swimpants I bought.

They work with a small pad inside, and eventhough it will get soaked once you submerge in the water, there's no signs of you being protected. And they can even handle a small wetting at that stage while you are heading back
