Well, it may not be official yet but I have seen it with my own eyes. Depend is changing there plastic backed brief to the "cloth like" backing.
We just got back from vacation in Puerto Rico and I saw the bag in a Walgreen's. I cracked open the bag and sure enough, they changed the back in it. I have no idea when it will be coming here.

The cloth-type outer cover with the 'velcro' type side tapes is unbeatable when you need to take them off and then re-fasten and reuse them. With the Depends brand I found that the 'sticky-side-tapes' always ripped and tore the plastic outer cover so much that I totally stopped using the the brand. Other brands solved this much better than Depends with double-sided side tapes .. you tape them on .. and IF you need to remove and re-fasten them the outer-tape merely pulls-away from the inner second tape that adheres firmly to the plastic backing.
