Sandy,
If I had a diaper rash problem, I would probably use the medicated type all the time. I have gotten a rash before and they're no fun! Prevention is the key to stay away from a rash. Since the corn starch and the regular type work well for me, I'll continue using them. Besides, I really like the smell of those two. The medicated has a slightly different smell.
My best luck on flat diaper sizing is the medium. Typically they're 27" wide by 36" long. They will shrink up to a inch or two shorter. I have bought a large size, 32" wide by 40" long, but they tend to hang at my crotch a bit too much. A little bit uncomfortable for me. I usually wear a large size plastic panty since I want plenty of room for a bulky diaper. Too small and your diaper sticks out of the plastic panty.
I'll go back to Ebay and try an advanced search for that seller. Thanks for your help! ......Paul Martin

I concur with the opinions previously expressed that Gary plastic pants have waist elastics that are too tight. However, if you like them otherwise, Fetware has them available with thinner elastics, and they're not as tight.

One very good place to get plastic pants that have nice lingerie elastics is AC Medical. Their #150, 020, and 155 pants are all well made, and won't give you red rings from wearing them. The #159 and 154 are good too, but they have thin leg elastics that may be uncomfortable. The 154, incidentally, are exactly like Protex Glazed Ice pants except for the color availability. They're both made with nice smooth long-lasting plastic. Their fit is very similar to Suprima 1205 pants. Speaking of Suprimas, the 1206 has very comfortable elastics.

Hi Pete!

Thank you for your post and welcome to the forum. I haven't had too much problem with the Gary plastic pants. I do order the large size, and the elastics fit my legs OK

I agree with you 100% with A C medical. They have the biggest selection of plastic pants I've ever seen. I use their #150 all the time. I think for the price, it's a "best buy" for cloth diaper wearers. I bought 12 pack some time ago, and they each last about a year. Very confortable.
Their # 155 pants is one I use in the baby print. The material is very soft.
Their #154 is, like you say, the glazed ice as Protex sells. They are good too, but I don't like the plastic covered(no wick) elastics. As the plastic pants gets older, I have a problem with the plastic spliting at the elastics, and they pinch my leg. But all in all, they are good.

Thanks for your tips, Pete! Keep the post coming. We all enjoy hereing from new menbers. ..........Paul Martin

Paul, you mentioned using the baby print pants from AC Medical. For all the plastic pants I have around here, for a long time only one was any kind of print - a pink baby print one that Fetware gave me years ago as an extra when they messed up on one of my orders. Then I got to thinking that maybe the print ones would feel soft and smooth - some of them certainly look smooth in pics. So now I've gotten a butterfly print from AC Medical and a couple of dots print pants from Fetware, and I do like the way they both feel.

Hi Pete,

I use to only get white plastic pants, but then added a few colors in. Blue, yellow, and a minty green. I guess, for some reason, my favorite color is the light yellow. I received the baby print as a favor from one of my suppliers. It was very soft and has lasted a long time. My wife, sometimes, rolls her eyes when she sees I've bought a new print, but why not issue a fashion statement. Women wear all different types of colors and designs. She later said, just buy what makes you happy.

Some prints, though, are stiffer than the baby prints I'm using. Anybody wanting to try a print needs to look at the "swatch" page of the site selling plastic pants to see how they list the softness/hardness of their plastic pants. I've bought some pretty prints and found that some are not soft at all and may even make noise as you walk.

Thanks for your comments, Pete! ...........Paul Martin

Well, the reason I suspected that print plastics would be softer is that the print material would most likely be purposely made for use as plastic pants or bibs - at least the baby prints. It's certainly true that some print materials aren't softer; I got a belle lace bikini just out of curiosity not long ago, and found that material to be quite noisy.

I've had a chance to read the whole thread and wanted to add a few comments. First, Sandy, you said something quite a few pages back about not wanting to support firms that seem to cater to fetishists. I understand where you're coming from - the only thing ab/dl people and incontinent people have in common is that they wear diapers and/or plastic pants.

But consider it from the standpoint of the outfit that makes and sells plastic pants or diapers for adults. By and large, you're not ever going to be reading about any of these businesses in Forbes or Business Week. Most of them have been started by people who have had a reason to realize that they could make a living at that business. At any rate, no businessman wants to limit his customers unnecessarily, and anyone who's selling adult-size plastic pants can't afford not to market to all the customers who are out there. And also, in my experience, those who cater more to fetishists are every bit as discreet as those who are more oriented toward incontinent people.

In my online wanderings I've come to the conclusion that fetishists are definitely outnumbered by incontinent people, and my suspicion is that incontinent people buy more plastic pants and diapers per capita than fetishists too, since fetishists are basically hobbyists and don't have to wear.

So whoever you buy from, they don't know if you're incontinent or a fetishist (unless you tell them), or care either. Buy what you want to wear, whatever makes you feel good, from whomever you wish.
