Fun with hubby

Wed Dec 12, 2007 8:48 pm

Your right about having fun or having a lighter side to incontinence. It might be easier for us for the fact that my husband has never known me not to be incontinent. And we've been together going on 20 years. The closes he ever sees me to a normal pair of underwear without a diaper under them is a swim suit in the summer time. And that's only occasionally on the boat when we anchor and go swimming:) I use to be much more up tight about my dress even just with my husband and I at home. But I guess over time you just learn to say the heck with it. And you may as well make the best of it. If you can have a little fun go for it................... :) Sandy

Amen, Sandy! I'm with you 100%. I was married for 20 years before my incontinence started, so my wife did have a hard time getting use to me wearing a diaper. She's use to it know and even helps me figure out situations when we travel and have to pack diapers.

I was talking to my friend Tammy earlier. Tammy was telling me that she had been speaking to our CNA friend I think I had mentioned that we have a mutual friend that works at a nursing home that uses Attends. Well anyway she was telling Tammy that they are using some new Diaper at night for the residents that wear a large size Diaper. She said they come in a plain white plastic bag and all it says is Large on it???? They are full mat briefs both front and back and are thicker then the waist band Attends. She says they have several dark blue pin strips about an inch apart that run front to back. and disappear when the diaper is wet. She was saying that they are having less wet sheets in the mornings with the residents that are wearing these then the attends. But as of right now they only have them in a large size. Any Ideas what these might be :?:

Mystery diaper

Sandy,
That sounds like one of many brands out there made for nursing homes. The way you explain it, though, it sounds like a quality diaper. Maybe some one else on this board has heard of that one. ...........Paul Martin

I had my young friend reinforce that cheap cloth diaper I bought. She did a good job. I'm guessing someday the bottom will fall out and the velcro will still be there  She also did some extra stiching around the leg openings. It will be interesting to see how long these will hold up. Maybe it would be worth buying some more and having her reinforce them for me  ................Sandy

Sandy,
It sounds like you found yourself a good sorce for some sewing! Boy are you lucky. My wife has done some sewing for me in the past too. But it was on some old fashion underwear, and one of those alarms that sounds when you wet. We tried that route when I first became incontinent and wet the bed a bunch of nights. After waking up every night and changing wet undewrwear, we decided to just give up and wear a diaper. Been in them ever since.
She has fixed some of my plastic pant and patche a hole one time in one of my cloth diapers. It's good to have some sewing skills!

OK say what you will but I bought some more of those cheap Velcro diaper. My young friend did such a good job sewing them up I thought what the heck :?: I also got three coming for her along with some plastic pants. It might have been a little risky to get them for her? I'm not sure she will wear them or not. But thought she might try it if they are laying in front of her :?:.................Sandy

Diapers for your young friend

Sandy,
I don't believe you're risking too much. I'm sure since she's already worked on your diapers, she's probably a little curious about them. I'll bet she'll at least try them out.
I assume this is the young friend who's mother asked you to help out?
Are these velcro diapers you're finding, are they on e-bay? I've lokked on there, but I just get confused. ...........Paul Martin

Yes it's the same young friend who's mother asked me to help out. I contacted the seller direct without EBay and asked if they had anymore of those cloth diapers. The said they had a few so I said I'd take them. I did ask if they would be getting any more they said they didn't think so but then who knows :?: . From what I got out of them is sounds like there into liquidations. They said they cleaned out an old Medical supply place a while back. and said that was the last of the incontinence supplies that they knew of. But also said they would let me know if they found anything else :)..................... :) Sandy

Sandy, I checked on ebay, but really had no luck looking for the guy with the handle of Huju316. I'm really bad on ebay. I just don't look enough. But boy, they do have a big supply of those fancy plastic panties! A little too juvinile for me. My wife hates to see me in a juvinile type plastic pants. She likes the solid colors best. ......Paul Martin
