What is a good diaper for a wheelchair

none! I never managed to get one to work anyway. I used sheaths (condom caths) and later a supra-pubic catheter - the latter working really well. Much better than soggy nappies (sorry, diapers!)

I agree with wheels diapers are to much to cope with from a wheel chair. I wore them for a while while using a chair and it was ok but the catheter I now have is far less trouble.
I have no discomfort or pain at all with the Foley and now I am on top of infections am glad I went over to it last February and would not want to go back to diapers.
But I would say any good quality diaper would work but you don't want one that's to bulky if your sat down a lot.
Hope you find one that suits.

I like diapers Better and I thought the bulkier the better

Diapers when sitting are not very secure, as they tend to leak, due to the weight of the person sitting on it.
Where else would the liquid go? anywhere it can, which means through leg openings.

If you have been in the chair for a while, and have been in diapers for a while, you would know as much as we all do on that. ;)

It is always hit or miss when it comes to protection. What works for one person, may not work for another.
You just have to experiment and see what works best for you.

I do agree in your case, that if use diapers, bulkier may be better, as they wont leak as soon.

Ah, but you ought not to need an underpad. A good system means that your chair and you stay dry. This can either be achieved but using some form of drainage, or by managed, timed voidings. Try reading this.. It covers most things one needs to know about staying dry and so forth.

I used catheters but don't like the idea of urinating in a bag
