I am a heavy wetter, even at night. I almost always wear a quality disposable like Megamax, Rearz Inspire, or ABU Simple with a cloth contour over it and topped with plastic pants. This "usually" will keep my bed dry, though even with all that I still wash bed pads once or twice a week. Occasionally, I will wear multiple layers of cloth (which is my preference and works well for me) but due to frequent fecal IC in the morning, I default to the disposable as the inner layer since it makes for easier cleanup.

Hi All

Ever since my incontinence started I have worn a thick diaper with a booster in, plastic pants and a home made onesie type garment. I have always had a mattress protector as an insurance policy. This has not changed the only the choice of diapers and onesies has improved over time.

I have a bladder diary this helps a lot with understanding how to best as possible plan fluid intake to reduce nighttime bed wetting does not always work but is a great tool in my incontinence management book!

It has been awhile since anyone has replied to this, so here i am. My solution at this time because it may change since I can't see the future.
1) decent capacity disposable diaper with booster.
2) lightweight cloth diaper over disposable to catch possible leaks.
3) waterproof pants over cloth diaper to prevent wetness transfer if disposable leaks.
4) washable bed pad on bed as last line of defense.
Or in place of the above:
1) Condom catheter with 2 liter bag hanging from the side of the bed.
2) 2 liter bag drain tube strapped to my leg so it does not get pulled, twisted,kinked or any other of the many adjectives I could write here. The idea of course is to allow unrestricted flow from the catheter to the bag.

ScottK, exactly! Well done. #1-4 are exactly what I have done for years. I also used a condom Cath for a while but went back to disposables.

Many people skip #2. I have found it to be hugely helpful. During days I use a flannel "panty" over the diaper to absorb minor leaks. I hate finding a pool of pee in my diaper cover after a diaper leak. At night I use a cotton toweling "panty" for bigger leaks. I use the term "panty" in that the pants lack a fly. I got both types from Kins in Canada. Unfortunately, they no longer carry them.
