Onsie tips needed

Mon Feb 04, 2019 4:43 pm

Call 'em bodysuits, onsies, whatever. I have found a great source for superlong T-shirts and after washing them many times, they still seem long enough to fashion into onsies. I would appreciate any tips from those who use them regularly. How do you snap these when the snaps are in the bottom of your crotch area? Any other tips as well...

If you have a T shirt, pillow case and several safety pins, you can make a onesie. Pin the pillow case to the back side of the T shirt, bring it up between your legs and then pin it to the front. Quick and easy. If you can sew then sew it to the back, cut an hour glass shape (to reduce bulk) and then add Velcro or just pin it to the front.

I think you can try it also with some snap fasteners if the T-Shirt is long enough but I'm not sure if this is really comfortable... I had some onesies that work with this fasteners but to be honest I don't used them that much. The pro is of cause that it helps to cover a diaper if you stoop down and the T-Shirt went out, but at last for me the handling and wearing was a drawback. For me long T-Shirts work perfect - so why you wont to fasten it - and if you like onesies why not buying "real" ones?
