Post subject: | Better bladder control.. fluke, or ? |
Hey! It's been a coons age since I posted. Been using Abena, but right now its just as a just in case patterns shift again gesture, because, knock on wood, my bladder has been behaving. I dont know if its the fact I sweat most shifts, or drinking komubacha is affecting the makeup of my pee such that I have better bladder control, or is having regular sex strengthening my pelvic floor? Perhaps all 3? Hmm, is there any study linking sexual activity with better bladder control? I'm certainly not complaining. It's really annoying to be trying to go about your workday and have to change your diaper 2 or 3 times because your bladder is going nuts. Or... it could just be a dry cycle, and as soon as fall and winter hit im back to pissing like a baby. I can't take the chance of wearing underwear just yet. Far too many instances of dryness followed by sudden onset episodes to trust my bladder enough to wear undies. My situation is relatively unchanged. I remain roughly at at 43-44 inch waist and between 225 and 230 lbs. I am trying to get below 220 but my body is not cooperating as of yet ![]() ![]() Peace out! Rob |

Rob, a quick Bard search returns the following: There is some evidence to suggest a correlation between increased sexual activity and improved bladder control. Here's a breakdown of the potential reasons: • Pelvic Floor Muscle Strengthening: Sexual activity, particularly activities that involve pelvic floor muscle contractions, can strengthen these muscles. A strong pelvic floor is essential for bladder control. 1. Does Sex Help Strengthen Pelvic Floor Muscles? - Secret Whispers http://www.secretwhispers.co.uk 2. Pelvic Floor Muscles | The Facts - Continence Foundation of Australia http://www.continence.org.au • Improved Blood Flow: Sexual activity can increase blood flow to the pelvic region, including the bladder and urethra. This can help to maintain healthy tissue function and reduce the risk of urinary leakage. • Reduced Stress: Regular sexual activity can help to reduce stress levels. Stress can contribute to bladder problems, such as overactive bladder or urinary incontinence. 1. 10 Surprising Health Benefits of Sex - WebMD http://www.webmd.com • Increased Awareness: Engaging in sexual activity can help individuals become more aware of their body's sensations, including those related to bladder function. This awareness can lead to better bladder control. Regards, Hugh |

justej wrote: Bro.... Is something the matter, Elijah? I do seem to remember in general discussion someone talking about masturbating with an indwelling catheter. If that is not removed by mods, then asking whether there is a link between sexual activity and better bladder control is not taboo, is it? I mean, we are all adults here, yes? I also seem to recall several posts about incontinence affecting one's sex life in the archives. If I offend you, I'm sorry. Thanks Hugh! That is quite interesting. I figured that it certainly wouldn't hurt one's control. The past few months are the first time in my adult life where I am sexually active with regular frequency, since I just got married to my wife. We are navigating this crazy thing called life. She also has some issues with bladder control. She goes to the bathroom very frequently and I told her it would drive me crazy if I had to go to the bathroom as much as you do. If this post is taboo mods, please let me know and I will edit/remove, or if it is off topic, feel free to move. But I don't remember reading any rule about no discussion of sex. Peace out! Rob |
