Another update from the wonderful world of cloth diapering.

I am still making my best effort to give traditional no frills cloth a thourough and fair try.. now that I figured out how to get them on snugly, address the concerns about skin dryness and lack of easy toileting. I find that by keeping urine dilute and liberal amounts of rash cream and powder increases confort in a wet cltoh diaper 5 or 7 fold. As for making toilet use impossible, at my current work situation, it's a non-issue becuase I really dont use the toilet much at all. I usually just use the diaper because my bladder doesn't give proper signals of when I need to pee, so I don't bother. I just diaper up and let my bladder do its thing, and rarely do I go a shift without wetting. So, I plan on hydrating liberally before work, and liberal rash cream

As far as my setup, it consists of putting on a doubled flat diaper at home, then changing into either a pocket diaper or fitted diaper depending on the situation. It is nearly impossible to put a flat on standing up, or so I know so far, and I don't want to be laying on the floor in a public restroom. Besides, it would be nice to have a stay dry feeling agaist my skin after the cream and powder have lost effectiveness after the first few hours.
I settled on doubling up the flat diaper instead of boosting a single flat because a flat with the least amount of folds is most comfortable, most trim and gives ample material to form a front flared out waistline and wings to attach to the diaper. The double up is to ensure enough layers. Even withh the diaper doubled, it is far less bulky than when I had a single flat but 3 single mulsin diapers as boosters. So thats what I plan on doing form now on. Also, using 2 snappis per diaper instead of just one feels much more secure.

Peace out!

Rob
