How dry are they when they get wet? How good are they keeping urine from the skin?

Pretty much the same as a diaper since it has the same kind of liner. I'm sure that will depend on exactly which brand you use. I use the Assurance (Walmart) brand and have had good luck with them. I like that they have small leak guards which channel any urine off the rear of the guard when soaked. The nice thing is a pack of Guard pads is inexpensive enough that you can try several brands without breaking the bank.
