Hey all,
Today at work i encountered yet another embarassing comment. One thing you need to understand in order to provide persspective is that ive been wearing pocket cloth diapers to work as often as I can. Usually, I can do this without anyone saying anything even though my pants have a bit of a bulge to them. Im guessing most people assume Ive gained weight and my pants dont fit well. Well, one studet today saw the back fo my pants and apparently the shape of my diaper was obvious, and he made a comment. He didnt say I am wearing a diaper.. he said it looks like hes wearing a diaper.. I was with the emotinonally impaired students, so I suppose i should expect some rudeness and disrespect and lack of liters from this group more so from typical middle schoolers. I did not say anything, because I didn't know how to respond. Thankfully, none of the other kids fed into and said anything else. I think i might have to look into bigger pants if i want to avoid more comments.

In other news, my samples have all arrived.. and the tranqulity atn in size large seems to fit and work well, as well as the COnfidry. I also sampled the ABU preschool. I'm not sure about the fit on that one, bur it is definetly worth further consideration, since the price point is low enough to bring it into serious competion with ConfiDry. It's not as absorbent, its b etween an M3 and an M4.. but it costs 108 dollars for a case of 80. That is hard to beat.

Anyway, I went ahead and ordrered a case of ConfiDry large, since they seem to fit well. I also ordered a 40 pack of the ABU Preschool for further testing. I am resoving my dilemma slowly but surely. Geood news is, J and B sent me sampls in size large that seem to fit, so thast a load offf.

Peace out!

Rob

if the tranquility works for you, check with your insurance company, they may be covered.
i have dc medicaid and they were covered under that.
too bad they didnt work for me. they just arent thick enough. my stream is too heavy for them to absorb well.
they just werent reliable and i decided to pay out of pocket for a+ from xp.
good luck and sorry to hear about your rude student!

Have you considered also wearing a diaper cover? The extra layer is thin enough not to add much or any, bulk, but it probably will smooth out any lines created by your pocket diaper. Just a though any ways.

Well looks like I spoke too soon about tranquility.. they work fine for at home contianing 1 or 2 lesser wettings.. but they leave MUCH to be desired for an extended wear situation like today. I ended up changing my diaper 3 times today.. once at luch, which is normal more or less.. then once in the afternoon during work which i like to avoid doing, and then once again. I was hydrating so my urine output was slightly higher htan it is usually, but still.. Even with a medium size flood the tranquility seem to saturate quickly. They are at best good for 2 wettings. I plan to use them as a wear around the house diaper changing when wet until my medicaid diapers come. I figure they are better quality than prevail or walgreens.. the other two bags of diapers I have that are size large.

And yes, i will be sure to give a review of the preschool diaper once i get a chance to put it through the ringer. Usually, i don't buy the abdl producs, since they are usually way to expesnive.. but this time, the price point was decent enough to consider. If you can get over the fact that they are made by an ab/dl company, and that they have childish prints on them (which you can probably cover with masking tape if you really want to) then you can probably save a mint or two on protection. When i tried on the diaepr, it fit fairly well, but im not 100% sure on absorbency.. thats why im testing them out again before i commit to buying a full case of 80.

Peace out!

Rob
