Just thought id give you guys an update...
The pocket diapers continue to perform well, and I am overall pleased. However, one small minor annoyance is the seam popping issue. It doesn't happen every time i put on a pocket diaper, but it has happened quite a bit. However, my mom can sew, and she has been quite happy to fix any inadvertant popped seams.. Now, if i had concluded that the pocket diapers were not doing their job in keeping my urine contained, that they werent up to teh task of providing extended wear protection compralbe to abena, then I would say I probably wont buy any more because of the seam popping issue. But, honestly, when I wear plastic pants over them, and even without them, they seem to do just fine even with 3 inserts. The maker of the diapers said she hasn't had any other customers report the seam popping issue. I once again ask, do any of you cloth users eve encounter this? how do you deal with it? By no means is it a major issue.. My mom so far has not had to fix the same spot twice. Yes, the diapers look a litttle off with seams not aligned, but i really dont care what teh diaper looks like on the outside as long as it does its job. Right now im wearing my prefold from Baby Pants. Based on my success using the prefold so far, despite me not being as successful as i would like, I am actually consdering investing in flat folds and prefolds from Adult Cloth Diaper. I would not wear the prefolds or flatfolds to work.. those would be the pocket diapers only, but perhaps I could get away with wearing a prefold under my jeans?
