Ok, not to belabor this point, but its official. This diaper is just as absorbent and effective for containing deluges and floods as are the premium brands out there. As long I wear PUL pants to offset the wicking tendencies.. i stay dry. This morning i got up.. had a deluge.. it held without leaking.. went back to bed and bed is totally dry.. and then had another big wetting as I checked my AESOP.. and it held it all in.. I am seriously impressed so far. With PUL pants..this diaper is UNSTOPPABLE.. provided you use enough of their inserts. I put 3 in. I thought i had put in 4, but last night i must have been more tired than I thought. I wish I could wear this diaper to work, and save an Abena X-Plus..unfortunately now that i have worn and used it, i need to wash it again before i can use it. It looks like I have effectively solved the wicking issue..and the solutiion was easy. So, in case there was any doubt.. if this holds up to 2 of my floods with 3 inserts..i can only imagine how absorbent it is with 4. I am not positive on this, since absorbency is hard to guage.. but I thiink that a pocket diaper with 3 inserts is equivalent to Abena M3, while 4 inserts would be equivalent to M4, or Abena X-plus. Of course, output equals fluid intake; I recommend testing to see how many inserts are needed before trying this in a public situation. But regardless.. you should be well protected. With enough inserts, they are roughly equivalent to premium disposables, in my opinion. Verdict once and for all? THIS DIAPER ROCKS!! Peace out! Rob |

BTW, which pocket diaper would that be? And what inserts? Just curious... |

http://wearing-adult-diapers-com.myshopify.com/ Scott, here is the website. The pocket diaper is called Adapt and Accept pocket diaper. The insert is made of 2 layers of flannel, and 2 layers of terry hemp. The hemp is sandwiched between the two layers of flannel. This ensures that the insert has a quick acuqisiton rate, as well as high absorbency. I suggest giving them a try, but do note that they may wick around the legs a bit.. easily remedied by wearing PUL pants over the diaper, and the diaper feels slightly wetter than a disposable.. but that can be offset by using a barrier cream. But make sure that it is cloth diaper friendly. You can find a list of diaper friendly creams at http://www.fluffloveuniversity.com/how- ... eam-index/ Hope this answers your question! Peace out! Rob, What you are doing that so many incontinents fail to do is to try something new to see whether it works better than a previous solution. It sounds like you have succeeded in finding something that works well for you. Congratulations! ![]() --John |

Rob, I have been reading your accounts of your experiments with different forms of protection, and this is the good news I've waited to read. Wonderful. Congratulations. If I were in the market for more protection, I would certainly follow your example. Thanks. |

JD, Yeah, my current solution with disposables works well.. but it will get exepnsive. Tena ultra even at 32 bucks a case plus free shipping (and without discreet packaging..the box I recieved had the Tena logo right on it..but oh well.. ![]() Peace out! Rob |
