Hey all,
For the most part, managing my incontinence while on the job substitute teaching has been relativiely painless. I haven't needed to change at school this school year. However, I used the bathroom on one of the days I subbed in the self-contained classroom, with a mix of emotionally imparied studedents, cognitevley imapaired, and autsim. WHen i was in the bathroom, i used the toilet pretty much successfuly, but got a bit on the floor and on my pants. I didn't have time to clean the bathroom, and I didnt know where the chemicals were. I used paper towels to clean up the urine on the floor, and was meaning to clean it up at the end of the day, but i forgot. I had forgotten all about it until a student trying to provoke me on the last day of my assigment said "He peed on the bathroom floor." Which, technically was true, but she was'nt showing respect. This is a student who as a matter of couse defies authority, and has been known to tell lies to get a rise out of teachers. It just bothers me a little. If I hadn't tried to use the toilet at school, then this wouldn't have happened. Perhaps when i have enxtended wear, no matter what happens.. just use it and be done with it..so i can avoid any future potential embarassments.
Peace out!
Rob
