Well, this usually doesn't happen to me, but it has happend on rare occasions, but I have counted them on one hand. I went to bed... and I was semi asleep, trying to sleep..and I felt an urge to pee, and since i usually have good control laying down, ignored it..and next thing I know, Im wetting my diaper and leaking onto my bedsheet (yikes!).. and I had to make a quick bed sheet change. Now im beating myself up.. why didnt I get up and go to the toilet? Lately it seems my bladder is letting loose with little to no warning sometimes. I'm not sure if its not doing the excercieses or what, but things are getting out of hand. I'm not taking chances.. I'm wearing Abena-X plus to bed tonight and for the next two nights or so.. and if I wake up soaked, I'm seeing my urologist. Usually I'm dry as a bone the second I lay down to when I wake up..

I think its possible a UTI might be brewing.. I've noticed some symptoms.. so i bought some cranberry juice.. in the paper they gave me about them.. they said to empty your bladder at first urge.. well, lately it seems that sometimes my bladder ain't telling me its full until its about ready to explode.. and by then, its too late. I know this is something I said before, but this confirms it.. my bladder wonkyness is back in all its glory..I don't think i made it to the toilet to pee at all today.. all of it was in the diaper.. some of it was due to not adequate signals, and some due to unwillingness to pull down the diaper for fear of compromising tapes or leg seals... I will try to use the toilet if feasible.. for as long as feasible.. but here we go again.. I will keep you guy updated!

Peace out!

Rob

The symptoms that you describe are very much like the urge incontinence with which I've been living day in and day out for many, many years. I'm glad to hear that you're using a high-quality, high-capacity diaper. For me, the recipe for peace of mind is to wear a good diaper, to do whatever I needed or wanted to do in my daily life, and to let my bladder do its thing without my worrying about it. Always keep in mind that incontinence is a nuisance, but it need not be a serious disability unless you let it.

Get your self a couple of good washable absorbant pads I have three that supplement my mattress protector. I leak from time to time while in bed fortunately it's not the norm. The pads I use are 36" x 54" and work like a charm. If I leak I simply grab the protector and change put a fresh protector back on the bed and then get back to sleep,in a dry diaper and bed. I find the bigger protectors are the best as if you toss and turn you won't move off the pad.

Recommend a good full mattress protector as well that protects the top and all 4 sides

The pads are cheap $29.99 CDN and they make cleaning up a breeze, leaks will happen and day time wettings can lead to night time wettings it's just part of dealing with our issues.

I'll second that! Those mattress protectors are great. I wouldn't be without mine - and I haven't leaked at night in a couple of years!
