John, I have and decided agianst it.. too many possible complications ranging from dexterity issues to removing adhesive..just.. no , rather not go there..

Well it would appear that my month-long-give-or- take dry spell where i could go hours on end without wetting and only change once in a day and only have to change while at home is at an end.. just like that.. I was at the college library in between bus runs.. when I had an episode all of a sudden and had to change my diaper.. granted, it was only a little bit wet.. but unless im wearing a premium brand.. i tend to operate on a change-when wet basis.. I didnt have any diapers with me so i had to go home to chagne.. and after an hour nap guess what happens again.. wonky bladder strikes again.. before i could get the diaper down.. So yes, while i never really did cease having incontince episodes.. which is why ive never stopped wearing protection since october of last year.. they have taken a back seat lately...but it looks like they are squirming their way back again.. oh well.. looks like a bag of abena is in my future... cest la vive! I hope you are right JD, but just in case you aren't, a case of Abena X-Plus is on its way to me.. its been a long time since i ordered them.. but I firgured might as well since you never know what's going to happen.. and, 2 days ago, if my bladder had been acting like it was today, i would have been in an extended wear situation.. i was with my friend and his parents celebrating his 35th birthday at a buffet at the casino..and was drinking the fluids.. and this way, from now on i wont have to go go home for a diaper change... yeah.. theres no way id bring diapers to work with me.. i jsut dont see how id bring one in and change it discreetly..how id dispose of it.. unlike when i sub teach, i don't have a stachel with me so.. nope.. extedned wear all around.. so.. if i m in a situation where i probably will need more than one change in a day.. slap on an X-Plus.. and roll with the punches.. Rob, For work have you considered a condom catheter? For information, there is a lengthy topical thread on the topic. I am considering the same option, although for different reasons. --John |

Hey all.. this post is recycled from a previous post about things getting wonky again.. I just needed to vent a little bit. It is now UNMISTAKABLY clear to me that once again, my bladder is back to its old habits of releasing a large amount whenever it feels like it.. and giving me about 2 minute warning.. which i can hold back sometimes and get to the bathroom... This was made clear to me when I was aring out and was walking in my kitchenettte and.. niagra falls happeend and I had to mop up a puddle..c I don't know what brought this on, other than I haven't been doing the squeezes like i used to...but then again, I wasn't real serious about making it an every day thing.. just when it was convinenent and when i remembered. I hate to say this, but if my bladder control is dependent on me doing the excercieses every day without fail for the rest of my life (which is what seems to be the case.. the longest i was dry was 4 years without doing the excercises every day after several months of doing them every day.. but slacked off because, well i was dry!), then it seems to me the only solution is wearing diapers....which is the same conclusion ive come to time and time again... shrug..cest la vive! I suppose it was good timing that I bought a case of Abena X-Plus. I suppose this settles the question of what diapers I'm wearing to camp... Peace out! Rob |
