Hello all!

Well, I am back from my trip to FL. I must say management wise things went fairly smoothly, despite things getting a little awkward finding a place to change upright in my parent's RV. I finally figured out that the best place to change while standing was in the public bathroom/shower room in their RV park. Yes, I could change laying down in their bathroom area.. but space was so limited i didnt really want to do that. As far as the product choices i made working out, I am overall quite pleased. The ConfiDry did have some issues with thapes not sticking, but it was NOT every time I applied a brief. They absorbed everything that I could throw at them, and they didnt even feel uncomfortable, let alone close to leaking.. same with the A+ level 4. I mainly used ConfiDry, since i had more of them than the A+... some things didn't go quite as planned when I started brainstorming solutions a week or two ago. I had envisioned bringing my black and blue duffel, which could contain 4 extended wear diapers, plus 6 or so standard briefs.. I thought that I could wear the extedned wear I sent in the parks, and use the standar briefs on a change when wet basis back with my parents in their motorhome. On the day of the trip, I find out from my mom that I probbaly coudlnt use the dufflell.. so I actualyl only brought 4 attends plus I think 2 A+... When i was down there, I ended up running out of attends.. so i started using A+ more often.. and confi driy.. I think i may have alternated between wet wear and change when wet wear.. and as soon as I had a chance... I bought depend at walmart.. and I wished I had had Attends instead.. because I actually had a depend brief leak on me when i had a morning flood... It was only a little bit.. on my underwear.. but still.. next time I think I'll send Attends breathabe along with Confidry..

I am pleased to report that other than the aforementioned Depends leaking..which you pretty much expect with depend... I had no leaks at all.. and 2 akward or embarrassing situaitons.. the first happeend when i was in my parent's motorhome and I was in the middle of trying to get on an extended wear for an outing.. and I had to grab something outide the bathroom and i had my bodystocking haanging down.. because I planned to put on a fresh breif.. and my older sister commented on it.. I did have a depend in full view, but neither my older sister or my niece said anything about it. My older sister is a nurse anesthetist, so if she found out about it, it woudltn be a big deal.. she knew about my incontience back in 2008.. I haven't told her it reoccurred. So i really wasn't too embarassed by that. The other embarassing/akward situation was while i was changing in Epcot.. I didn't have the luxury of using a handicapped stall or a family restroom... both having a handy private garbage can either in the stall or its a separate enclosed bathroom.. So i had no choice but to carry out a used ConfiDry in full view of everyonbe .. I just went as quickly as I could to the trash can.. and no one said anything.. and I was calm confident and casual.. there were a few kids.. but hell, we are perfect strangers and I'll never see them again. So, all in all not bad.

Actually my shorts DID get wet..but it wasnt due to a leak.. it was due to getting soaked on Kali River Rapids :D

Oh, and since I knew that I wouldn't be able to air out due to lack of privacy, I made sure to utilize rash cream every day as a preemtive measure. It worked well. I figured out that you can actually still apply sticky tabs after using rash cream.. just wipe your dominant hand off with your wipes after applying cream, and dry it with toilet paper.. works like a charm!

I realized that there are incontiennce products, and then there are incontinence products. The attends that I have been using a good as a change when wet diaper.. But when it comes to comfort even while absorbing tons..nothing holds a candle to ConfiDry and A+ 4

Even if one has moderate to heavy incontienence.. there are times when a product desinged for heavy to complete incontience such as ConfiDry, A+ 4 or abena, will produce better results, because the more absorbent a product is, the better it keeps urine away from the skin. Sure, you could wear a standard disposable like Attends, Tena, or tranquility and not leak, but your skin woudlnt be as comfortable as long..
Thats what I find anyway. I guess my point is that while i probably wont use a ConfiDry or A+ to capacity, for me they are still the best choice for extedned wear because they keep things FAR more comfortable. Am I correct in this?

Peace out!

Rob
