The way she is thinking of doing it is to have the plastic under the Outside cover So that way it would be more concealed and the top would be easy to match the bottom. If all goes right she could make them look more or less like a swim suit from a distance Up close maybe a different story? She was saying if she makes the protection even through out she thought it might make it less noticeable then if it were thick in the middle. She said she was thinking she would only put in one or maybe two layers. She also said she maybe could use a disposable Maxi size boosters in the crotch area depending on the situation? I said I don't know about that as you know those boosters can swell up pretty bad. As I'm typing this I'm thinking Can you believe this is the same young lady a year ago wouldn't step out of her house! And now shes making incontinent bikinis so she can lay out in the sun...............Sandy

Sandy, If the bathing suit idea even comes close to working she should streach it out to underwear also. Would love to wear something under clothes that didn't look like a diaper. As far as her trying to conceal the diaper look she could add a short skirt on the bathing suit to help cover the diaper thickness. Just some thoughts! Papa

Howdy papa
Covering up is what she is trying not to do. Shes not really planning on going to the beach like this. More the back yard in the city. I think the swimming suit is going to work out. She is a semi professional (Lack of a better way of saying it) when it comes to sewing She does dresses wedding gowns etc. She use to love to lay in the sun in the summer in a string bikini (trust me she has the body for it I'm so jealous) She knows laying at the beach like that is out of the question. She does have a semi enclosed deck. it has walls on it that are great for privacy but bad for a view she would like to lay out on the lawn. But there are many eyes that can see her there from a distance.

I myself wouldn't be caught dead like that in public but than that's me. I guess I can see in maybe a kinky sort of way it might be nice to lay out with almost nothing on  Anyway I got to get on a different rabbit trail...........All for now...........Sandy :)

Sandy,

Certainly your younger friend is in a progressive mindset and learning
to cope and find solutions. Maybe some solutions won't work, maybe some are simply for getting by in private...but she's thinking and she's innovating and sooner 0R later, she'll find what works !! And, she will
get to do the sunbathing thing, too.

When I was back in college years ago, my g/f was dealing with an
enuresis problem, also a bit of daytime control loss when active. She
and her mother were very handy with sewing and inventive ways to
help her with very effective undergarments. In fact, they HAD to be, because this was before the era of adult disposables. Anyhow, with a proactive approach, they came up with very effective absorbant garments for her to wear on a motorcycle/camping trip with me, lasting nearly a week! It worked well and we had a great time...all the while she knew
she was 'safe' from wetting a sleeping bag or having an accident when on the back of my motorcycle. The only source of off the shelf items then
was from Mongomery Ward or Sear's catalogs and from a local hospital
supply store. And from these she regularly bought rubber and vinyl overpants or bloomers which seemed to hold up well when worn over her home-crafted absorbants pants and liners.

I hope your younger friend continues seeking solutions and I don't think they are kinky at all. More power to her and thanks for relaying that to us, Sandy.

John.

John, you brought out my point. I would love to find a product/diaper that actually looked more like clothing than a diaper. Yes it still is a diaper but why can't it look like normal underwear. Cotton, absorbant, water proof but on the outside - other than thickness - which can vary by need - looks stylish. Even though a diaper by anyother name is still a diaper mentally it would feel better if it looked more "in style". Even if it was just you who saw it. I also ride a bike HD and there is something about being in pinned on diapers or disposable diapers that still erks me while riding. Why can't the diaper look better? If your tee is untucked and rides up or blows around it would feel better knowing what might show in back looks more like underwear. Papa

Well The swimsuit Bikini Diaper got it's first official tryout the other day. It got up into the middle 70's and my young friend put on her new Bikini and laid out in the sun for a good part of the afternoon. She said the bottom part held up fairly well. She said she laid on her tummy for around 2 and a 1/2 hours she said it was leaking a little then she laid on her back for another hour and a 1/2. but by this point she was soaked front to back and leaking all over :?

But at any rate she said she was fairly happy with the results. And was surprised at how well it worked considering it was the first time ever trying it out. I should mention she did have a depend maxi size booster in the crotch area. Also as far as the water proofing she cut up a pair of plastic pants sewed it in under a thin cloth layer on the out side. She did say she wants to make a couple more and try a few other things.

I told her she should try and market these She said like I have time for that  ........................Sandy :)

Sandy,
Glad to hear that the new fashion statement went successful. I'm sure there are a lot of incontinent young women who would like to have a bathing suit like that. She could take her ideal to some of these incontinent supply sellers, maybe like Fetware, and see where it goes.
Your young friend had a great ideal and used her skills to make it happen. That's really great! ...............Paul Martin

Jane and I went on a road trip for the day yesterday to pick up a few engine blocks and some other parts. Of course we had my husbands truck or should I say the $4.25 per gal. truck OUCH! Well anyway you may remember I did this same trip last fall and didn't do so well  But I'm happy to say that everything went ok for me this time. I wore cloth  Jane wore a disposable We stopped twice for Jane in eight hours round trip.

I made it round trip with one of my heaviest combinations with an added touch I used one of those Tranquility full contoured boost pads. I know we aren't suppose to use a disposable product with our cloth diapers  But let me tell you sitting in a wet diaper like that for that long it was a blessing to have that booster. But not so much for the extra absorption. But for the fact that those boosters really help you stay allot drier. They really block the wetness.

Also I would like to add a "plug" for cloth. A big Hats off to cloth While I was fairly well soaked front to back by the time we got home and was happy to change I didn't have any leaks :!: Jane leaked a little  But if you remember what happen last fall :?: I did think to but some pads on the seats this time. Go figure I didn't need it this time but it was good Jane had it. Jane didn't say much about the fact that I didn't change at all. But I have to think she must be thinking about cloth by now :)

Hey Sandy!
That's an interesting story about you and Jane. I was surprised to read you were in a cloth diaper for that long of a trip. I guess by adding the booster pad did the trick. Is the bulk of a cloth diaper with the booster easy to see through your clothes? If you were wearing overalls, I would understand how you did it.
Jane should try some cloth diapers sometime. I wonder, though, would her husband berate her more if she were in cloth diapers and a plastic panty? I hope not.
I'm going though an experiment of my own this week with cloth diapers. I used up my supply of disposables and my HDIS and my next order is not due untill Monday. Rather than calling up HDIS to ship early or go to the store and buy some dispoasables, I'm using cloth at work! I've devised a way to wear them discreetly so no one can tell. I do have to change a little more often and sort of hide my soiled diapers at work to take them home to wash, but so far it's worked!!
I really think if I had to, I could get by in cloth diapers all the time. I'm so glad to hear, Sandy, that you are sold on cloth diapers now. For those people who are on the fence, they should give it a try!
Keep us posted on Jane. It's great how you two have connected. ......Paul Martin

Hi Paul
Yes I did have my Overalls on You would almost have to in order to wear that set up. Or maybe a dress would work also "NOT!" no thanks on a dress while on a parts run. The Jed look (as my husband calls it) works real well. To be honest I was surprised I didn't leak a little at least. But with that pad under me it may have made me a little more brave. :)
..............Sandy :)
