Jane is a rather strong young lady but also has a very soft and loving side to her. It does really hurt her to have that jerk for lack of a better word husband of hers running her down. Jane does come over here with the kids fairly often. I was telling her that my Husband and I are starting to think of her more as a younger sister rather then just a friend :) We both like having her and the kids around. I think there are times my husband could do without the kids. But he does well with them it appears the kids like him  I should say that as much of a jerk as Janes husband is. He does appear to be a good Father to his children. I've pondered the thought that maybe Jane's husbands problem maybe that he is insecure with Jane's condition.(if that makes any sense) and doesn't know how to except it so he lashes out at it with verbal abuses :? Ouch I'm sounding like a shrink  ..................Sandy :)

Well said, Sandy! I think a lot of men resort to wise cracks when they have no other way to deal with a (tough) issue. While the wise cracks are meant to cover the insecurity and boost egos, the downside often is hurt feelings....and I don't think you should ever intentionally hurt the feelings of your partner; after all, you are in it for the long haul...supposedly.

I hate to say "counselling" but there are cases when a good professional may be able to sort out things and turn perceptions around. I know, most of us will deny we need counselling....much the same as many of us will deny we really need diapers! We can manage, we can get thru this....and that seems to be the reaction of most, even with thorny marriage issues.

I hope that your "bop" may have served as a wake up call that there are limits to inappropriate remarks....I suppose time will tell.

Good job, Sandy for that well timed attitude adjustment proceedure you performed on Jane's husband.

From what I have heard many women have bladder problems after having children. Some of these men's wives may have been forced right into diapers along with the kids if that's what caused it. I can't imagine the expense. They have alot of nerve since they didn't make the babies alone, not to mention they didn't have to go through the labor pains either. I'm not male bashing but only speaking of certain men that we have talked about on this board. Maybe the board should have a pregnancy and postpartum thread for those who've had this problem.

I think that would be a good thread if you want to start one, LtsofQues. I hope there are enough females on this site that could comment, But I believe there are enough members who know of someone who has had this type of problem and comment.
My wife had two children, and had no problem at all. Later in years, though, she's having a problem with an overactive bladder. I think that's with age. She copes with medication, but she still makes a lot of trips to the restroom. ..................Paul Martin

Well my young friend is getting the spring/summer itch She is trying to make her own cloth bikini style diaper. She is a whiz at sowing she has made a couple of prototypes and they look pretty good (can't see my self in them LOL) my husband would love them :) Anyway she is using Terry cloth or flannel for the outside and has been customizing some cloth booster pad for the inside. They really are neat for a homemade diaper.

I was over there the other day and saw one laying on the table. I thought it was something she had bought. I was thinking where in the world did she find that?? with no computer. She really may have something there. She is making them so they will work with her plastic bikini pants.

She has one that has elastic straps on the side with snaps in the front that the straps snap into. She has another pull up style that has elastic straps on the sides and the front and back are elastic also she has been putting elastic on the leg openings part way around on all of these. She said the leg elastic is the part that she is struggling with to get it to fit right. She also has a high cut pull up she is working with The sides are about an inch and a 1/2 wide or maybe 2 inches wide. She is using a full mat design with all of these. I should mention the strap ones are using about a 3/4 inch elastic strap. She has some really interesting ideas on how to design these.

She says with the hi cut pull ups with the around two inch sides full mat through out you don't notice the side bulk being that the sides are up at your belt line Mind you that is considering your wearing a normal pair of jeans not some kind of low rider. Not like any diaper wearer would ever wear a low rider jean

I told her she should get these down pat and maybe try to market them :D She laughed said ya right I got time for that. I'm telling you they look professionally made ...................Sandy :)

Sandy,
This young friend needs to be complimented on taking such a great attitude to her incontinence! It's great she can do such tricks with her skills. Sounds like she could start her own line of incontinence styles for young women. It's great to hear this! ...............Paul Martin

What is the correct way to deal with a wet matress from an accident in bed? I had the flu for a couple days. Do you have to throw it away? That seems like a waste. Can you just flip it and use the other side? How does the odor go away/

As far as a wet mattress I would recommend you get a rug doctor and some of the urine remover stuff You can sometimes find it at a Pharmacy or go on line. After you get it clean I'd highly recommend you get a plastic mattress cover! also on of my tricks is get some chux pads and place one under the top sheet on the bed. Notice I stated "under" The reason I put it under is that way it will stay put! Granted if you do leak the sheet will get it but at least is just the sheet.

Hi Paul
Yes she could do well with her diapers I think the Fetish crowd would love them :? But I highly doubt she would do that. Her mother seemed to be in pressed by them. She said jokingly she should make a string bikini top to go with them. I was talking to her today she was wondering how she could make one with the plastic built in so she wouldn't have to wear a plastic pant over them when sun bathing. That's a good question. Anyone have any idea of how to get a hold of the plastic/vinyl used for all in one cloth diapers. ..........................Sandy :)

LtsofQues,
Sandy has a good ideal to clean your mattress. I wouldn't throw it away. If you clean it real good as Sandy has suggested, you'll probably need to leave it uncovered for a day or two to help it dry out. The better it dries out, the better any odor will stay away.
Despite my best diapering skills, I too, get a wet mattress pad. I finally started putting a disposable pad under my sheet with a waterproof pad on top of it. That keeps the crinkle sound down. When I change sheets, I just throw throw the old disposable away and use a new one.
I really don't think you'll need to throw away your mattress, though. .........Paul Martin

Sandy,
Your young friend really has a good ideal! I think to get the right material and color, she'll have to try and sew in the plastic lining in the bikini bottom. If you try to use some material that already is rubberized to be waterproof, you'll have little choice is color and print.
I'm no seamstress, but I think that's the best way. By all means, she needs to make a top to match. She really has a good ideal here. .......Paul
